We did our #tenontuesday today (yay for Tuesday). We picked up: fast food wrappers, lots of napkins, cigarette butts, plastic cups, straws, coffee cups, loose newspaper, junk mail, plastic bags, broken glass, cans, perspex, cardboard packaging and plastic lids. We filled a plastic bag, and we only picked up rubbish in this same area two days ago. Today's #tenontuesday was done at the park while Dexter had a play. It consisted of: cigarette butts, plastic lids, lots of plastic straws, broken balloons, poppers (the juice and party kind), paper, streamers, lollipop sticks and lolly wrappers. Lots of people usually just kind of furtively look at me and try to figure out what it is that I am doing. That happened again today, like any other time. But today, an older lady picked up all the rubbish in her area and walked it over to me to put it in my bag. She praised my efforts, and I thanked her for hers, and we had a bit of a talk about rubbish. It was nice. Please join me and try to take some time out to pick up any rubbish you may see on the ground, where it doesn't belong.
