Bonjour, Lumiose! I’m Huni (pronounced honey), a rookie trainer and professor Balsam’s new intern. I’ve been sent to Kalos to study mega evolution and other strange phenomena occurring in the region. I’m not the strongest battler, but I’ve decided to try my hand at the ZA tournament while I conduct my research.
Speaking of the tournament, I should probably catch a Pokemon before sundown…

Well... We're still at rank W for now. But that's okay! Balsam says every loss is a learning experience.
Turns out Ember, my Houndour, has trouble when it's cold and wet. In fact, the worse the weather is the less lively she is. She gets all shaky and nervous.
I should take her to the Pokemon Center. I'm afraid she might have something like SAD or even some sort of joint problem...
Does anyone else's Pokemon get anxious and low-energy when the weather is cold/wet?
Sky really loves to dance! Someone was performing and he just started to sway and wiggle like nobody's business. He has a great sense of rhythm, too!
I wonder if I could incorporate music into our training...🤔

Oh, right! Forget to mention we reached rank W yesterday evening. Turns out Ember loves to battle! That's great since Dulcie and Olie can't always keep up with Sky's energy. It'll be nice for him to have someone to roughhouse with.

He's doing really well! He gets along especially well with Dulcie, and he loves visiting the cafes here. He's a very curious little fella, even if he scares easily. He really likes to listen to me read.

New teammate! This is Ember. I was supposed to catch an alpha Binacle for Balsam, but this cutie chased me all the way down into the water, so I knew it was meant to be ❤️
Gonna (finally) do my next promotion match this evening, so we'll see how Ember does in training and decide if she's ready for a real battle.

Is Huni your real name?
I mean, it's real in the sense that it's the name I use. If you're asking if Huni is my given name, no. My given name means "Arceus is gracious" or "grace of Arceus," but I hate that name! So I changed it. Huni is a lot sweeter and cuter, don't you think?
I guess I should get back to the royale tonight. I've mostly been focused on my studies, but... I'm kinda running out of money, plus Sky is itching to battle

(UPDATE:: New regional forms that replace the previous number 52 and 53 forms in my dex! Replaced my regional shroomish and breloom forms cuz I just wasn't happy with their designs, PLUS I thought up an even better idea for a fungus pokemon! Coming soon!!!)

Caterpie – Talk about your first Pokemon. How did you meet, and are they still on your team?
My first Pokemon was a Shedinja my sister gave me. He was sort of a gift? If you have a space in your party and an empty ball, when Nincada evolves its shed shell becomes Shedinja. That’s what happened with my sister. She wasn’t sure what to do with him, so she gave him to me.
His name is Casper and he isn’t on my current team. I couldn’t bring him with me to Kalos, so Professor Balsam is looking after him.
