Regressor Ken Heacanons
I can see Ken regressing to around 5-7. He's small enough, but can still function. But I'm also open to him being an age dreamer as well. He doesn't really know what it's like to be a kid, so playing pretend (pun intended) is all he is able to do.
Little guy loves to play doctor/vet. He wants everyone to be happy and healthy and all fixed up! He'll have those play sets with a dog stuffie and some medical instruments. He'll ask his carer if they can be the assistant nurse and help him. Very profesional.
Loves sunny weather! If the sun is blistering against the window, Ken will just lay in best and bask in the sun. Likes to have something cold to drink with him, and perks off as much as many articles of clothing he can. He doesn't like feeling cold, but he still needs to stay healthy and regulate his body temperature.
Obviously he has a stuffed horse called Horsie. It's a basic brown one with some white and a black mane, but he loves it to bits. He will bring it everywhere with him. It's pronouns change, there's no set one. One time it'll be that "she wants to do down the slide with me" and another that "he will be waiting on the counter while you eat."
Bath time is such a fun activity for Ken. He likes feeling nice and clean. He prefers his caregiver to help him wash up, because he likes when their hands tickle his skin. He's pretty ticklish, and will giggle a lot while getting clean. He prefers bubbles over bath bombs. And toys are a must.
When Ken is having a very high energy day, he likes to dress up and do fashion shows. He will ask his carer to give him a theme, or colour pallet, or a certain piece of clothing to style. Little him has really good taste, and it will turn out amazing! He's always to smug with himself when he poses for 10 minutes in the mirror. If he likes an outfit too much, he'll stay in it for the rest of the day.

Regressor Ken Headcanons
This might be a bit cheesy on my part, but I definitely see Ken as a My Little Pony fan. It's perfect for him! He will sit on the couch the whole day just binge watching it with some snacks and comfy blankets if he's allowed to. If you ask him who his favourite is, he can't give an answer. He also knows every single song imaginable off by heart.
If Ken is feeling a bit on the younger side, he likes to suck his thumb. He has tried using a pacifier, but it doesn't give him the same comfort. He also justified it by saying that his thumb is portable, so it makes it way more easier rather than looking for a paci for multiple minutes.
I would say this is more of a comfort thing, but I think Ken would like the feeling of being padded. He prefers pull-ups over having just regular, boring underwear. It helps him get into his headspace.
I'm an endearing way, Ken does not close his mouth. He loves to talk! It fills up silence, let's him communicate way more clearly, and he gets to talk about what he likes!
Baby likes to host tea parties. He will have some easy made snacks on plates like crackers with butter, cookies, gummies, some fruit, and anything else he has on hand. He will have his stuffies and toys around a tea set as he talks about 'geown up stuff' while sipping some water from a plastic tea cup. And if his carer is there? They are obviously invited! They can even make actual tea for them!
That's so sweet of you to say STAWP! That's so touching that I've given you some form of hope (hopefully) on doing something like this yourself.
I will say, it can be a bit difficult, but it is SO worth it! Seeing the amount of people that find comfort in this, and being so close to a community of people that just are so so kind. It really pays off. Thank you for the ask! :]
Really likes using little gear. As I said earlier, it helps him to just fall into that fuzzy headspace, so using items manufactured for little kids helps out a bunch! He has a plastic plate that he uses for meals, a sippy cup, a hot water bottle with a sleeve that looks like a stuffed animal, play sets, a night light. Anything that helps him. He's also always searching for more things to get.
⋱ ― ♱ . TIPS FOR PET REGRESSORS AND THEIR HANDLERS ♱
For this post, handler means the caregiver for a pet regressor. That's the term I like to use to differentiate between agere and petre, however use what term you prefer!
I strongly advise against trying to search for a caregiver on the internet for several reasons. For all ages, but especially for minors. Caregivers / handlers should be people who you are incredibly close to and trust deeply, usually beforehand to establish a good relationship.
Now for the tips:
Learn up about the type of animal being regressed to! It can help the regressor feel more connected and the handler feel more educated!
It's fun to learn tricks! And tricks can also help serve as grounding techniques sometimes. Another great way to use tricks can also be to help with medical trauma. Like teaching animals in captivity to associate check-ups with positive experiences!
Always ensure snack choices are human safe. Lots of foods that animals eat can be safe for human consumption but not all. There's good alternatives out there though so research can be great!
One thing I like would be especially important for regressors who need decompression spaces, is try to help the regressor set up a den or enclosure or sort of a.... 'no touch tank' if that makes sense. An area where they can retreat to decompress and calm down after stressful things or harsh triggers. You can also always attempt to make digital versions of a space like this if that might help too.
Carry around treats! A snack is always nice. Both pet regressors and their handlers might need something to eat, especially if they're on walks or doing any big task or activity. Treats can also be used for tricks and enrichment!
Discuss alternative ways of communication. Some pet regressor might feel their ability to verbalize things decline during regression, similar to some age regressors. Opting instead to communicate with noises (like whining or purring) and touch or motions (pawing at something or nudging with their nose).
Explore ways to modify or customize things either regressor or handler already own for regression! Such as making the bottoms of a cane or crutch look like a paw. Or get a tail that doesn't interfere with wheel chair usage.
