The Egg is Hatching! What could it be?
Reblog and your muse will receive a randomly generated pokemon in their ask!
"Eggcuse me!" Whitney had hoped to get the attention of the guy with her little pun. She stepped out in front of him, a grin on her face. It was a good thing she didn't seem intimidating or getting people to adopt these eggs might have been a more difficult job. Her Lopunny held a basket towards Max, a single egg sitting in the middle of the blanket inside. It was the last one Whitney had to give. "I see that you're a Pokemon trainer. Would you like to take this egg? Please?"
Max blinked several times, though normally far out of his element and just finished recovering from his last little bit, to see the young woman with the strange bunny pokemon was a bit jarring. However, the pun and the offer of an egg instant warmed him to her and he smiled brightly. “Of course! Anyone with Eggcellent puns like yourself is worth doing accepting just about anything, thank you!” He chimed as he reached in and took the egg, cradling it slightly. “Is this one of those pokemon eggs I’ve heard about?” He questioned as he looked at the egg for a second.
“Looking too hard into the future will cause you to forget about what’s important in the present. Still, I’d rather not get into a huge discussion, not to mention I haven’t done much for you to respect me besides lie, and even then it’s not something to be super supportive of. Though, as a favor to me, try to be a little less serious,” Max suggested more than requested since Kyouhei somewhat backed-up his claim. The older male yawned a bit, covering his mouth before he passed it on.
“Hm….thanks for your visit, if your curious, they said I should be able to leave within a few days. Just want to keep an eye on me for a little longer. I welcome another visit, though I understand if you’re both busy or would rather not.”
“See?!” Kyouhei suddenly exclaimed. “You’re way too serious, Rakutsu. You’ll get wrinkles way too fast if you keep acting like an old man with a stick up his ass.” The younger brunet commented. That comment, however, wasn’t something the older brunet appreciated because he soon glared at Kyouhei, letting out a louder growl.
“Well excuse me for having a stick up my ass. My job doesn’t really let me ‘have fun’. Catching dangerous criminals isn’t exactly the same as going to Nimbasa City’s theme park.” The older one shot back.
“And you!” He turned his attention at the other. “Stay out of trouble next time! And don’t expect us to visit you. We’re busy people, you know!” Grabbing Kyouhei’s collar, Rakutsu dragged the younger one out off the room.
Max blinked twice, though you’d expect him to be upset, he simply turned to the two as they left and chuckled a little while waving goodbye. He looked out of his window, laying down slightly now as he yawned a little. “Well...at least now he’s heard it from an outsider’s source and from his brother. I hope he learns to calm down just a bit, all that stress is gonna hurt him more than help, wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile. Heh... I need to get some rest though, the sooner I do, the faster I recover, and the quicker I get back to my own little journey.” Max’s eyes slowly closed as he drifts off to sleep rather quickly.
Max sighed and reached over to lightly tap the older brother’s head. “It’s never useless to reflect on what was missed and appreciating what you now have. I also did not really ask for comments on it. Though….it does appear like you seem to be answering a lot. Do trust that I know some things about life considering I am four years older alright?” He smiled softly as he chuckled.
Max had to hold in a laugh when Kyouhei pouted. “Oh come now. You can be honest, as little brothers we can be annoying.”
Letting out a small growl, the older brunet hit the hand away, not liking it someone invaded his private zone unasked. “I’m more concentrating on the future. Reflecting on the fact I never had a dad doesn’t help me at all. Besides,” Rakutsu narrowed his eyes as he stared at the other. “it’s not because you’re older that you know more than me. There are people out there who’re twenty years older than I am and are more ignorant someone my age should be. Age doesn’t say a thing.”
“Oh! Like that time you told our kindergarten teacher what clouds were really made of when she said they were cotton candies floating in the sky? I really didn’t get a thing you were saying back then. You’ve always been so serious.”
“Looking too hard into the future will cause you to forget about what’s important in the present. Still, I’d rather not get into a huge discussion, not to mention I haven’t done much for you to respect me besides lie, and even then it’s not something to be super supportive of. “That’s a shame to hear in all honesty…I used to be really jealous of people with even one parent. Yes, Ric and I were adopted but….we’ll never ever get the chance to know who they were or even how we would’ve been raised if they were still alive. Hell, all I know is that they are heroes in my eyes….according to what I could get out of my brother, they saved us during an attack from the group with the letter R. Still, I guess not all family lives are the happiest.” He shrugged.
“Hearing about your relationship though is wonderful. I’m glad it’s not like those shows I used to watch where the stereotype was the older brother was a big jerk and the little brother was just annoying.Though…thinking back, I might’ve been more like your younger brother if not for Bruno and Lorelei. Not that Grandma Agatha didn’t care though, just….actually….I never did ask why she trained Ric so much with Lance…..”
“Asking yourself how your life would have been if your parents were still alive is quite useless if you ask me. I mean, we could be asking ourselves if our lives would have been different if our dad was still alive, but, he’ll never come back so it’s a waste to spend your energy thinking about such things.” Rakutsu commented. Though the group he mentioned. It most likely was Team Rocket. Even Rakutsu heard of them and their stories.
“Oh, believe me. Kyouhei can be really annoying.” The older brunet commented, making that Kyouhei puffed his cheeks again and looked at the older twin offended. “But the only one who can tell him that is me.”
“You’re just being a big meanie again.”
Max sighed and reached over to lightly tap the older brother’s head. “It’s never useless to reflect on what was missed and appreciating what you now have. I also did not really ask for comments on it. Though....it does appear like you seem to be answering a lot. Do trust that I know some things about life considering I am four years older alright?” He smiled softly as he chuckled.
Max had to hold in a laugh when Kyouhei pouted. “Oh come now. You can be honest, as little brothers we can be annoying.”
“Well if the winds guide me out of the desert, then I’ll be fine. Though, for just in case, I’d better find a pokemon that can stand a sand-storm just before entering,” He chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. Still, as Max heard Kyouhei’s tale, something was bothering him about the story. Considering their mother was a widow and that she had twins…why did she neglect one?
Max held a frown for most of their past, though, instead of paying full attention, he looked at the ‘older’ twin to see his reaction. If their mother took such good care of him, why wasn’t he trying to defend her? At the same time, they were both only 16. They may have well-paying jobs that have experinced a lot already….but they were still just teenagers. He was thinking too much about this, though it was nice to see the younger twin looking up and smiling for once since he came into the room.
Rakutsu noticed the frown on the other’s face. The older one knew the other had questions about their past. Though, he felt really happy when Kyouhei told him he never was jealous. It was something Rakutsu always worried about. Petting his younger twin’s head, the older one smiled at him. “You’re probably wondering why I don’t say much about this entire topic, right?” A sigh passed his lips and he looked back at the other.
“It’s because I don’t have much to say about it. What Kyouhei said is true. Our mother always dotted me endlessly. And actually, I really hated all of that attention. I preferred sitting in a corner of my room with a book rather than being prodded and hearing how smart I was. Leaving home felt like leaving a prison. But I guess, that counts for the both of us.”
“That’s a shame to hear in all honesty...I used to be really jealous of people with even one parent. Yes, Ric and I were adopted but....we’ll never ever get the chance to know who they were or even how we would’ve been raised if they were still alive. Not that Grandma Agatha didn’t care though, just....actually....I never did ask why she trained Ric so much with Lance.....”
“Ha, I tried the stuff when I was little. Very nasty. Thank you for your concern, though I’ll be fine when I turn 21. Once I’m out of here, I’ll more than likely head towards the desert for some training and maybe see if I can make a new Friend.” Max noticed how Kyouhei still wouldn’t look at him and went to hold his brother’s hand. “Don’t worry, I remember that. May have forgotten a years worth of math, but-” His attempt at joking at the situation felt more awkward than funny and he shut his mouth letting out a small embarrassed laugh. “Erm. Nevermind that, I’m fine honestly. Though, I can’t fathom what that might’ve felt like…”
Max looked down at his picture which now rested in his lap as Rakutsu asked about his brother. “Ah! Yes, that’s Ricter. This was taken not to long after we were adopted….and we were cleaned up,” The nomad opened his wallet and placed the picture right back inside. “You see….I never had my mother and father. They died a long time ago. My earliest memories are of Ric teaching me how to be safe in Viridian Forest…I don’t even know how they looked or what they did. Ric never talks about them or who they were….but I don’t press him on that. Though I wish his wasn’t so cryptic with it,” He chuckled a bit as he turned to look out the window.
“You two are very lucky to have each other. It’s part of the reason I was so willing to lie for you. I respect someone who’s willing to go so far to protect their brother’s name…..Heh, reminded me when I had my first…-ahem- ‘discussion’ with Lance when he said something about Ric. I got so mad at what he’d said to Ricter, I charged him and shoved him with all my strength….granted I was a little kid, so….nothing happened. But I yelled a lot….heh heh. I cried a lot after it too, partly from being yelled at and partly from Ric getting a little upset with me for stopping his own training that was going on. According to Ric, I was blubbering about how ‘no-one bes mean to my bro-bro. He kept me safe’.”
“The desert, huh? Then I hope for your sake you have a good sense of direction. You can get lost easily there.” Rakutsu commented. This wouldn’t be the first time either. People got lost in the desert the entire time. Even Kyouhei got lost when he was still traveling around Unova. Luckily for the younger one, big brother was in the area to guide him back to the correct path.
Again absentmindedly, Kyouhei entwined his fingers with Rakutsu’s. He somehow felt the same way as the other did. The twins father died when they were still babies and their mother… well, she only had eyes for Rakutsu anyway. “So, it’s always has been you and your brother, huh?” The older brunet commented. “That sounds kinda like you, doesn’t it, Kyouhei?” He asked the younger one before looking back. “We don’t have a father either and our mother… in Kyouhei’s case, she doesn’t even exist.”
The younger one huffed, glancing away when Rakutsu began to talk about their mother. “What do I care? She isn’t even sad about the fact I haven’t visited her in like three years. She is as good as dead to me.” It was obvious that Kyouhei never had a mother-son relationship unlike Rakutsu had.
“Ever since we were little Rakutsu has taken more care of me than she did. He even learned me how to read and write and how to ride a bike. The only thing my mother always told me was that she was disappointed I didn’t have any special skill like Rakutsu had. Even after I became famous, she still didn’t recognize me as someone special. If it wasn’t for acting, if it wasn’t for Rakutsu sticking by my side, Arceus who knows where I would be now. Anyone would think I would be jealous of Rakutsu. But you know, I never was. Why should I? Why should I be jealous of the one person who always takes care for me?” Looking at the older brunet, Kyouhei grinned wide. “Besides, It isn’t your fault you’re so great. Even I think you’re amazing!”
Considering their mother was a widow and that she had twins...why did she neglect one?

He was thinking too much about this, though it was nice to see the younger twin looking up and smiling for once since he came into the room.
“Erm, you weren’t there for the first interaction, though acting like an adult isn’t something I’m quite used to just yet. Right below the legal age to drink,” He chuckled as bit as he watched the door open to reveal the younger brother. Max was sure to look towards the younger brother, though frowned a little when he looked at the ground. “Oi, oi,” He used a softer tone to get his attention. However before speaking about one of the lessons he was taught, he instead opted out of such a minor lesson…for now. He took a moment to think and sighed a bit, shaking his head as the smirk returned. “You are forgiven. I also apologize for the way I had acted as well. Truth be told, despite all this, it’s helped me quite a bit. I had not mentioned this but, there is a reason I came into the cities first. I have a terrible, damn near crippling shyness which causes me to act a certain way and get very uncomfortable. I can somewhat ignore this if I’m with someone I view as a friend, and apparently someone I have to watch after. Still, jokes aside, despite everyone who watched that, I was feeling….well, normal I guess. No panic, or getting really nervous. Granted, I’m sure it’ll take more than being blasted into a wall to get over it, but, hell, it’s better than being nervous all the time.” Max gave the younger boy a smile. “It’s fine, I’m alright, you can look at me. This is nothing, honest. I’m recovering just fine. Besides, you were doing it to defend your brother’s honor,” The nomad pulled out his wallet and took out a picture of two young boys. “I would’ve done the same for this nerd in the picture.” A smaller boy was running away from a taller boy wearing glasses. The two were smiling and out in a field together, they seemed to be laughing as four people stood in the background watching them. Max’s finger was pointing towards the taller boy though.
“I advice you don’t start drinking at all. That’ll save you a lot of money and trouble.” Rakutsu commented. Rakutsu might be a Interpol Superintendent; his superiors tried to give him cases that avoided him coming in contact with alcohol since he still was a minor after all. Yet, most of the time that was not that easy.
“you sure choose the right city to work on that shyness. Both Castelia and Nimbasa City are the two most crowded cities here in Unova. You were better of starting in Aspertia City.” Waving his hand at the matter, the older brunet sighed. “But, I guess it’s too late for that now.”
Absentmindedly, Kyouhei grabbed Rakutsu’s hand, squeezing in it as he kept staring at the ground. “Rakutsu is the only one who really cared for me. He’s really smart, you know. Mom always liked him more than me. Sometimes I think she doesn’t even know I exist…” There was moment of silence between the two twins. Whatever went through their head was something between them.
Slowly, the younger brunet looked up after a while to look at the picture. There was a moment of envy that wen through his body. He and Rakutsu didn’t have such pictures. Because the older brunet was always in the center and Kyouhei was always on the background. “Is that your older brother you talked about?”
“Ah, ‘big brother’ is here to visit me. Normally in Kanto we greet one another with a friendly hello. Or in Bruno’s case, I’d dodge his fist when greeting him for training,” Max replied with a rather strange smile on his face. “Still, to answer your question. I’m a twenty year old male who just started to go out and see the world with his own eyes. I knew I’d face challenges, I’d struggle, get hurt, hell, I’d more than likely end up in the hospital given how I take care of myself….however….sitting here in the city has given me a lot of time to think.”
Max looked down now. “You’re not the only siblings that close you know….I have a big brother. His name is Ricter, and we aren’t twins, he’s literally older then me,” He attempted to joke before sighing. “….If anyone bad mouthed him….well…I don’t blame him. I mostly blame myself. As a representative of Kanto, the adopted child of Kanto’s Elite Four, and as a new trainer….I acted very poorly and ruining your brother’s career for something as petty as that…..I was raised better than that. Besides….heh….if I can’t stand a little Hydro Pump, what right do I have to call myself a trainer? Still…I’d much rather getting slugged by Onix then take another one of those blasts….Kyouhei’s a great trainer.”
“I’m not a fan of such formalities.” Rakutsu sighed. Even at his own work he greeted his superiors with a rather rude “And? Why did you call me?” The older brunet was more the ‘To-The-Point’ kind of guy unlike Kyouhei who had to go through formalities because of his work.
Listening to the explanation, Rakutsu was glad that the other was reasoning like an adult should in his eyes. Though the brunet wished he could have done that before pissing Kyouhei off. “I admit that you indeed acted very poorly despite your age. Adults should know better than to bully a sixteen year old,” He began speaking. “but I also admit that Kyouhei’s actions weren’t justified either. And that’s why…” Walking back to the door, the older brunet opened it, pulling someone else in the room. “…this guy has to say something.” Giving a pat on his back, Rakutsu urged a pouting Kyouhei on to say a few words.
Looking down steadily at the ground, the younger brunet fiddled with the hem of his shirt a bit, glancing up to look at the bedridden trainer quickly before looking at the ground again. “I’m sorry…” The boy muttered. “I didn’t mean to hurt you…”
“Erm, you weren’t there for the first interaction, though acting like an adult isn’t something I’m quite used to just yet. Right below the legal age to drink,” He chuckled as bit as he watched the door open to reveal the younger brother. Max was sure to look towards the younger brother, though frowned a little when he looked at the ground. “Oi, oi,” He used a softer tone to get his attention. The two were smiling and out in a field together, they seemed to be laughing as four people stood in the background watching them. Max’s finger was pointing towards the taller boy though.
‘W-Wait! If he or his pokemon was attacked and it wasn’t during a regular battle. That’s assault! We’ll have to report this, please, do you know where the attack came from? Or who issued it?’
From the ambulance, coughing could be heard and pained groans. Max was awake. “…..” He could overhear the questioning going on and glared at the brothers. This was a good chance to end the younger one’s career or damage it in a big way. However…. “I-cough-….it was a battle……I….I road on my boufallant’s back…….grr….to get a better head-start for……one of his moves. I….I am still new to being a trainer……..so only after I saw the attack…….did I get nervous…….and take the hit for my pokemon…….It’s my fault.” Shocked the worker thanked the two before returning to the nomad’s side.
‘Do you have any idea who those two are?! That is Kyouhei the famous actor and former champion! His twin brother was there with him, and rumor has it he’s just as strong, if not stronger! Why would you go and challenge either of them?!’ Max laughed a bit before groaning from the pain. “…..I can be kinda stupid sometimes……” The worker shook his head as they all went straight to the hospital. -Some Time Later- Max was recovering in his room, a bandage around his head and ribs. He was sitting up and looking out of the window and sighing. “Welp…Ric’s gonna kill me when he discovers what happened to my phone. Once I get out of here I’d better head to the pokemon center and call. Gotta thank him for recommending a water-proof wallet though.”
As an Interpol Superintendent, Rakutsu knew he had to tell the truth and tell the ambulance workers that it was his brother who initiated the attack. He also knew that could damage Kyouhei’s career but above all, the younger one’s trust in him. Though he would never admit it out loud, Rakutsu couldn’t stand the feeling of being separated from Kyouhei. If Kyouhei would start hating him, the older brunet wouldn’t know what to do with himself.
Letting out a sigh, a hand went in his bag, taking out his Interpol insignia and showed it to the workers. “Who do you think you’re talking to? I’ll handle this issue.” Rakutsu decided to lie to protect Kyouhei even though he very well knew what he did was against the law. But between breaking the law and perhaps losing his job and losing Kyouhei forever, Rakutsu’s decision was quickly made.
Though when the other spoke, it surprised both brunets. Both asking themselves why he was lying. Kyouhei in particular was surprised, knowing that he could have used this moment to ruin his career. So why did he lie?
***
It was something Rakutsu decided to figure out when visiting some days later. When entering the room after a few knocks, the older one entered, leaning against the wall opposite to the other’s bed, observing him while at it.
“Why did you lie?”
“Ah, ‘big brother’ is here to visit me. Normally in Kanto we greet one another with a friendly hello. Or in Bruno’s case, I’d dodge his fist when greeting him for training,” Max replied with a rather strange smile on his face. “Still, to answer your question. Still...I’d much rather getting slugged by Onix then take another one of those blasts....Kyouhei’s a great trainer.”
Fangs nodded and flew over to his pokeball, showing as a sign of his trust, that he could rest in his ball and not worry. Spiky also gave a nod, though he looked to Max and the returned to his own ball. Afro was left out and looked to Rakutsu. The boufallant paused for a few moments, looking to the ground and letting out a pained and sad sigh. However, he’d look up, eyes meeting to the twins before nodding once and returning to his ball as well so the others could go and take him in.
Once help had arrived, Max was moved into the ambulance and being treated there for his wounds. One of the workers came to question Rakutsu for full details as to what happened and any information on who they were taking as well as any contact information since they were unsure of how long it would take Max to wake up.
Once the help arrived, most of the bystanders started to leave the area, also because they were kind of forced to give the workers enough space to work. When being asked what had happened, his eyes shifted towards Kyouhei, who -when most people left- was back at Rakutsu’s side. Hooking both arms around his older brother’s right one. The younger one, however, looked steadily down the ground.
A sigh passed the older one’s lips. “You can call this an unfortunate accident. The guy got hit by a Hydro Pump that was aimed at his Bouffalant but he took the hit instead.” Rakutsu responded. “I have no idea who that guy is, however. I assume he has some identification on him since he seems to be a traveling trainer. I’m sure he has enough contact information on him, too.” Rolling with his shoulders, the Interpol superintendent thought this was enough questioning for now.
“Now, if you would excuse me, my brother has an injured arm I need to tend to.”
‘W-Wait! If he or his pokemon was attacked and it wasn’t during a regular battle. That’s assault! We’ll have to report this, please, do you know where the attack came from? Or who issued it?’

Once I get out of here I’d better head to the pokemon center and call. Gotta thank him for recommending a water-proof wallet though.”
His hand twitched for a split second, though stopped right after. Fangs would flutter around Rakutsu for the time being and remain close by as Afro and Spiky kept everyone, but the ones who Rakutsu would clear, away. Though the group should be nervous, having one of the twins helping has calmed them a considerable amount. Still, they couldn’t help but feel helpless to the situation, specially Afro considering what happened.
All Rakutsu could do was to apply pressure on the older one’s wound and wait for the ambulance to arrive. Luckily, he heard the sirens soon. Turning his attention back to the Pokemon -which he was sure of they could hear the incoming noise too- he decided to inform them what was about to happen.
“Listen to me very carefully, everyone,” He told the Pokemon. “Soon, there will be other people coming. They can help your trainer better than I can. I want you guys to let them through so they can fix him. They will bring him to a hospital, but it’s for the best. That way, he will heal faster. Do you guys understand this?”
Fangs simply nodded in response as he flew over to Afro and Spiky and had them lower their defenses for just a bit. Spiky backed down, though Afro was still hesitant considering the circumstances that had just taken place. After a few screeches, Afro stood aside as well to like Rakutsu approach Max. Considering the attack, it came to no surprise that there was a small puddle around the injured male though the lack of blood mixing with it was a good sign.
Once Rakutsu was close enough, Fangs nudged both Spiky and Afro to help the other twin. Afro snorts and looks at the other male before snorting again but nodding and remaining on stand-by. Spiky gave a small salute and stood right next to Afro, waiting as well and hoping that things would be ok. At best a few cracked ribs, bruising, and of course a terrible headache would be what he walks away with. The worst is something the trio would like to avoid thinking about.
Kneeling down in front of the other, Rakutsu first checked his pulse. When he felt a heartbeat, the older brunet was relieved into knowing Kyouhei hadn’t accidentally killed an innocent person. An innocent person who managed to tick Kyouhei off, but that was an entirely different matter right now.
Even though Rakutsu wasn’t a doctor, he knew that the other trainer most likely had a serious head injury that needed to be treated by someone with more knowledge. He also had no idea what kind of head injury the other possibly could have. All he knew was that it was dangerous to move him in case his neck was also injured. He had no choice but to wait until the ambulance would arrive.
Opening his bag, Rakutsu took out a towel and a bottle of water, wetting the piece of cloth and wringing it out afterwards. Stopping the bleeding was his first priority now. Moving closer to the unconscious trainer, the older brunet carefully pressed the wet cloth against the wound, hoping to halt the bleeding at least a little bit.
Despite their low-levels, the trio remained keeping guard of their trainer, Afro seeming the most upset and defensive of the group. Anytime someone would reach out, a stomp, snort, and lowering of his head showing he was about to charge. However, Fangs looked at Max and only grew more panicked. The zubat flew and landed onto Afro’s head. It appeared as if the two had begun to speak to each other, trying to figure out what to do since they’d get tried eventually and Max would be taken away then.
Finally, it was agreed upon by the two to send out one of them to go find help while the other two would guard Max. Since Fangs was still the weakest of the group, the Zubat was sent off to go and try to find help of whomever. It wouldn’t take long before Fangs spotted Kyouhei….and….Kyouhei? Regardless, he flew over and frantically flapped it’s wings, letting out concerned screeches and nudging the older twin with pleas to help. Since he was in his pokeball, he didn’t know about what happened and since Afro wasn’t looking back, he didn’t see who issued the attack. Still, this was the only one who would be able to cross and help Max.
Rakutsu had just finished his call and talking to Kyouhei when the Zubat flapped its wings frantically in front of him. Rakutsu’s initial thought was the Pokemon was perhaps confused because he and Kyouhei were identical twins. Glancing over at the younger one, the two had a short conversation only they could understand. Letting out a deep sigh and crossing his arms, Kyouhei rolled his eyes, shrugging afterwards.
Paying back attention to the Zubat, it was more than obvious to the older one that the Pokemon was trying to ask for help. “Alright. I’ll help. But then you should let other people get close to your trainer, too. Or else it’ll only get worse.” He calmly stated, starting to walk over to the injured trainer.
At best a few cracked ribs, bruising, and of course a terrible headache would be what he walks away with. The worst is something the trio would like to avoid thinking about.
Max heard the attack issued and looked back. “!!” In a split second, he dropped off Afro’s back and took the full shot of the blast knocking him into a near-by wall. Anything the younger sibling has said was lost to the fact that Max was not moving and seriously hurt. The wind was knocked out of him, his clothes were a wreck now, and even worse, the impact against the wall had some minor blood around it. It seems he hit his head.
Afro let out a distressed cry as he rushed over to his trainer and tried to nudge him. Max was strong, but not strong enough to handle a fully evolved pokemon sending out such a powerful attack. In a desperate attempt to help, Afro nudged the pokeballs on his owner’s waist, releasing Fangs and Spiky to help. The zubat, being the closest nudged him more and more trying to get him to wake up, but the male remained against the wall slumped over, hair covering his eyes. The cacnea tried to pull on him to get him to move, but he didn’t. In Kyouhei’s rash action to ‘defend’ his brother, he was about to seriously injure a low-level pokemon and did seriously injure the other male.
Some people from the crowd tried to come over to inspect him, but any time one of them got near, a tear-filled boufallant roared out and stopped them, stomping it’s feet aggressively to keep them far away from Max. If Kyouhei wanted to make a point by doing the same thing Max did to him during the first meaning, it was lost, and spilling his life story to an unconscious person seemed like the wrong thing to do.
Fangs and Spiky were both very upset as well, till Fangs remembered Max’s cellphone. In some futile attempt, he tried to get it out of his owner’s pocket but…it was damaged during the Hydro Pump. With Afro not letting anyone get close, Max would remain there for who knows how long. Seems like the nomad’s attempt to get over his shyness and fears of the big city would have to wait…
Letting out a deep sigh, Rakutsu knew this was a very bad situation. And only because Kyouhei snapped for once and initiated an attack. Perhaps the younger one should be lucky because his original target was the Bouffalant and not it’s trainer. It was the trainer who deliberately took the attack. At least, that was how Rakutsu’s eyes registered the attack. Though it wasn’t unusual for trainers trying to protect their Pokemon. Kyouhei once did the same too. To a Pokemon that wasn’t his even!
Though right now, this was an emergency situation. The other’s Pokemon didn’t let anyone get close so this meant drastic measures had to be taken. Dialing something on his XTranceiver, Rakutsu soon reached the emergency department.
“Yeah, hello? We’re having an emergency here in Castelia City, near Mode Street. An adult male has been hit by a Hydro Pump and is unconscious right now. No one can get near him because his Pokemon are guarding him. His head is bleeding, too… Alright. Thanks.” Ending the call, the older brunet returned his attention back to Kyouhei who had a hand on his Samurott’s head, looking down at the ground steadily.
“You worked yourself in trouble now, Kyouhei.”
“I didn’t mean to hit him. Why did he had to move anyway?”
Despite their low-levels, the trio remained keeping guard of their trainer, Afro seeming the most upset and defensive of the group. Anytime someone would reach out, a stomp, snort, and lowering of his head showing he was about to charge. However, Fangs looked at Max and only grew more panicked. His ear twitched and he hopped off of Afro’s back before turning around and marching over to the older brother. “You wanna run that by me again?” He grabbed his collar and glares at him, something not seen by either until this point. “I’d told myself I’d reserve cursing for only things of a very serious nature, though as I said in my previous talk. I’m done. I know damn fucking well why he’s crying.” His grip on the ‘older’ brother tightened. “He doesn’t like yelling, you know what that is though? Weakness. You failed him as a brother if he cries by getting yelled at. My brother saw I’d get upset for getting yelled at too, you know what he did? He helped me get through it, you let fester and become a weakness. YOU let him be like this, a brat.”
People were now crowding around by this point, but he continued. “Don’t you EVER FUCKING DARE say I don’t care. We didn’t have a good first meeting, if I was a worse person. I’d have left him where I found him. Though no. I went to him to make sure his wound didn’t get infected and he didn’t get sick. I went to take him here when I caused him to cry. If I didn’t care, I’d have left him where he was, his wound hurting, and not even bothered. Even now, what are you doing first? Fucking judging me. Listen here you little twirp, I don’t give a flying-type fuck who you are, you don’t fucking judge other people who have done nothing but help. Maybe instead of judging me first, you tend to your brother. I know when I’m upset, even if someone talked at us when he came, he focused on what was important. NOT getting the last word to feel some sense of superiority. I must thank you both, you represent the Unova region in quite the light, Actor-boy, Champ. I simply thought my time here would be a learning experience, though not this kind.” He released him and sighs. “You two don’t have to worry though, ‘the big bad Kantoese bully’ is going somewhere else. Oh, and by the way, he has a lot of other of his precious ice cream.”
Max walks back over to Afro, pushing past the crowd this time, uttering ‘excuse me’s and ‘pardon me’s as he did. He got on the pokemon’s back. “Get me the hell out of here and into the forest Afro. I’m suddenly missing home and think a visit to Lance is in order.” The pokemon snorted in concern once, though after the look Max had on his face, Afro simply sighed and nodded, charging out. Max pulled out his phone while riding on his back.
Normally, Rakutsu would have given someone like that an earful, but right now, he needed to patch up Kyouhei’s arm. Besides, that guy was totally wrong about things anyway. Assuming things because of how Kyouhei acted. That guy wasn’t worth his time and effort. Letting out a sigh, Rakutsu turned his attention back to his younger twin. “Never mind that guy, Kyouhei. Let’s go… Kyouhei?!”
“Sam! Knock that Bouffalant down with Hydro Pump!” Right before the pair that was running away, a Samurott appeared, launching a powerful beam of water at the other Pokemon. “Now you listen to me, you big jerk! My brother is the greatest brother there is! People have let me down my entire life! Even my mother! Heck, she doesn’t even know I exist! Rakutsu was -and still is- the only one who stayed by my side. You have no idea what I have gone through to try and let people notice me for what I am! I was always considered Rakutsu’s shadow, I was always ignored ever since I was a baby! My brother has always, always been there for me and taught me things my mother should have done. Don’t you dare to badmouth him! You don’t know him or me! Besides, I choose to be a crybaby myself so why don’t you shut up, you stupid country bumpkin! And if you don’t like crowdy cities you shouldn’t have come to Unova in the first place!”
Max heard the attack issued and looked back. “!!” In a split second, he dropped off Afro’s back and took the full shot of the blast knocking him into a near-by wall.
