Hey, I’m Cassie. I’m 22 and use She/Her pronouns. I’m the owner of a pokémon rescue. I… don’t really know what else to say so I suppose I will share a few fun facts about myself.

I’m very passionate about pokémon welfare and keeping. I’m happy to give advice on the care of your pokémon but I don’t claim to be an expert on every type and species.

My personal pokémon:

Cipher - Espeon | She/Her | My support pokémon, her job is to help with severe anxiety and paranoia. I’ve had her since she was an Eevee and we have grown up together.

Slinky - Houndour | She/Her | The sweetest girl who I am currently trying to build trust for humans with. Her and Cipher are attached at the hip.

Smudge - Swinub | He/Him | A rescue who I’ve grown a fondness for and is now my personal pokémon. He is very playful.

I believe we have found an owner for the Skiddo. Smidge. They have met and Smidge seemed to like the person. The person will come in for an interview tomorrow and if that goes well we will do a visitation to their property and make sure that everything will work.

You should not be allowed to own more than like 15 pokemon without a permit imo. Like ppl will have 2 pokemon out and then 20 in their fucking PC and I don't know how to tell them that tamagotchi collection would be more rewarding

Our rescue does not even normally have that many pokémon. It is truly excessive and it is hard to care for all of them when it is legitimately my full time job and I have coworkers to make it easier.

Hmm… I have never considered this before. I suppose I would most likely be an Espeon? Of the behaviors I have observed I think they are closest to me.

My coworker says she thinks I would be a Skitty. I have no idea why but I guess she is allowed to have her opinion.

My coworker had dubbed the Skiddo Smidge. She thinks it is funny because of how much the Skiddo and Smudge have been getting along.

how did you choose the names for your pokemon?

If I’m being honest there is not deeper meanings for them. It is a little embarrassing but Cipher was named by my mother and Smudge was named by my younger sister. I didn’t personally name Slinky, as he came to me as a rescue. I don’t know why he was named that but if I had to guess it would be because of his resiliency to taking tumbles.

Well the Skiddo and Smudge are getting along well at least. I wasn’t planning on letting her around any of my pokémon but Smudge did not leave that decision up to me. So far they have only met through the fence but the Skiddo seems very entertained by Smudge.

Cipher likes her too but seems much less interested. Slinky does not care for her, though that’s not surprising.

Some of the other rescue pokémon are also interested, although they will not be allowed to meet the Skiddo unless she spends more time here.

I had quite the experience this morning.

I woke up to a Skiddo on my doorstep.

She seems to be healthy and very tame so I’m very concerned about how she ended up here. My best guess as of now is that someone dropped her here.

I’ve taken her to my nearest Center and there was no identification they could find so I suppose I will be taking care of her. Any advice would be appreciated, however I do have a pen I’m dedicating to her and she will have plenty of access to sunlight.

There's something to be said about the social stigma around not owning any pokemon, because people are so weird they're so fucking weird about ittttt. But also. There are places, where people live. Where it would be fucking stupid not to to own a pokemon. If you have to walk to work through a forest absolutely teeming with creatures that could kill you. Idk man. Quit your job. Move, don't do this to yourself.

Yeah as someone who traveled in an area that I absolutely should not have been as a kid and got attacked I would recommend Not Doing That. I now have my Espeon, Cipher, who is my permanent companion because of the fact that I cannot leave my house alone. Be careful out there.
