The rules are simple: be nice, be respectful. Don’t get upset if someone has a different opinion than you, and don’t take things too seriously. This is meant to be a fun, enjoyable, silly little blog, and I’d like to keep it that way.

This is a blog for the real historical figures and expeditions of the polar exploration world. If your confession deals with fictionalized versions of these people and events, such as the Terror, I kindly direct you to @coldboysconfessions or @confession-fitzconfession

Mod considers themselves to be well-versed in assorted expeditions and historical figures of note, but might not always get all your references especially if they’re to more obscure events (Alabama Expedition who). Please be patient and feel free to leave a note or send me a message if I’ve misidentified something or failed to tag!

Is anyone else having notification issues on sideblogs? I’ve been receiving normal notifications on my main blog but on my sideblog and this it’s been radio silence.

I popped over here just for fun today after not receiving a notification in going on a month (admittedly a busy one for me personally) and found a stack of unanswered asks that I’ll work on getting posted over the next few days.

but crickets die at the pole. Also why are there no Poles living at the Poles?

As I’ve never been to either pole myself, I can’t confirm nor deny the existence of crickets at the poles. However dying at (or on the way to/from) the poles isn’t an exclusively crickets fate either, plenty of humans managed to do that too!

I CAN confirm that crickets do exist outside of the poles though. But Poles? Poland? I’m not so sure about that one.

I’m not sure if I have a particular favorite but it’s always fun coming across a location that you’re 90% certain is named after someone particular and you google it have have the Ha! I was right! moment!

Only dead on the side of people not sending in confessions, I promise there’s a very excited mod on the other side of the ask box!!

I’ve never personally read any Lovecraft because I’m the world’s greatest wimp when it comes to horror and the scaries, but I’ve heard it’s quite good. I might work up the courage for it someday :)
