even after 18 years, someone's scent from my school days remains a reminder of the past. 

how amazing i still remember and enchanted every time i smell that scent, just like the first time.

polaraditia - Slowly

Borrowed from her words in one of our letters: I really enjoy your presence. I wish you the joy just as much as you bring me.

I almost forgot that a year ago, I submitted my writing to Slowly Story: my brief experience using Slowly app so far ...

If anyone doesn't know, Slowly is an app that we can exchange letters (like e-mail) with pen pals around the world with slow time pace where our letters need some time to be sent or received, depending on how far sender and receiver location. The farther the distance between the sender and the recipient, the longer it takes for the letter to arrive. You could say this is app is a kind of anti-instant messaging. haha.

... and a few days ago, I just received a confirmation email from Slowly Story team that my writing has been selected to be published (after a year!), finally!

Here's a little snippet:

Once upon a time, I was very active in writing, not a professional writer, just a personal blog writer and on various notes. However, it is only one-way and in the form of self-reflection and I was writing less and less and less. It was around the third quarter of 2018 that I thought, I need a ‘writing partner’, someone who looks forward and reads your writing and you look forward to its reply too, and I realized something, in all of my life I have never personally corresponded by mail. And I found SLOWLY. Maybe I already told some pen pals why I joined SLOWLY was primarily to learn to communicate in English and making friends was a bonus. And I have to correct it now, it turns out that so far, the reality is the opposite: that finding a writing partners/friends is my main goal. Somehow, the universe is listening...

life traveller

I have put 'mini diary of life traveller' tagline on some of my blogs for a long time, and one day for the first time, someone asked me what does life traveller mean.

She said, "Every people are life travellers right? But do you have something different that you want to share to other people about your life?"

Ehmmm.. to be honest, I did not expect to get that kind of question (when it should not). I wonder what I really thought when I first wrote that tagline... and this is my reply to her about what my initial thought about life traveller:

"You are right about we are life travellers after all. Actually, with that tagline, I just want to share my messy thought to the others in super compressed words (and in an odd way indeed), that from our bigger perspective, I am the same as everyone else, we are all the same."

"We have own struggles and difficulties, have own goals, have own things to take care of, have own things to thinking of, have own things to fear of, have own things to believe in, have own things to share with, have own things to love, have own things to celebrate, although the everyone's 'things' are different of course, but we share the same journey."

"If I imagine, it more or less similar to a train passengers on a trip or journey. Some passengers may disembark at station A, some may disembark at station B; some may disembark at the beginning of the journey, in the middle, or at the final station with different purpose: business trip, sick relatives/friends visitation, pilgrim trip, back to hometown after a long time, excursion, go wander, date with beloved ones, run away from home, or just enjoying the train ride and want to know what the final station of the journey will be."

"But beyond those different details, we are all the passengers on the same train, we are travellers, and we live the life that share same journey at some point in time. So, respect the others, make the journey comfortable for all."
