Impeach Biden
With all the craziness in the world right now exercise is so much more important than ever! The best thing you can do is find what you enjoy and do it, don’t care how you look or what anyone will think. I love lifting weights, it makes me feel energized and healthy. I have always loved exercise but due to my fluctuating weight I always felt ashamed to exercise in front of people. I have recently decided to love myself for whatever weight I am and exercise no matter what. Accepting myself makes me more active and in return keeps me healthier. Do you and be active!
Does anyone else find this strange???
So people I know tested positive for Covid and one of them discovered they were positive at urgent care. Her chest sounded like marbles were rolling around but yet all they did was tell her she was positive and sent her home with no information on how to treat symptoms.
Fast forward 4 days and her symptoms get worse she tries to talk to a Teledoc about what she can do to control her symptoms and he tells her about some over the counter medicine she can take. Luckily after she takes it her symptoms improve a small amount but that is not the case for everyone. This morning I read about an Oregon teacher that died from Covid and she was only in her 40’s. Samantha (the teacher) died one week after being diagnosed with covid. On day 6 she went to a medical center due to difficulty breathing but ultimately was sent home. Samantha woke up the very next day unable to breathe and even though she was rushed to the emergency room she sadly passed that day.
It really bothers me that there is no outrage over the medical staff sending her home. If that was my family member I would sue, I am so tired of how acceptable it is for doctors to take all of your money and not know either how to treat you or can’t figure out what is wrong with you! I know there is a way to treat Covid out there, President Trump was given some kind of treatment that aided in his quick recovery when he tested positive. So why can’t everyone receive the same treatment, why do you have to be a major face in politics or be a millionaire to receive basic life saving treatment for Covid? I have heard excuses on the internet that it just isn’t researched enough, but I call B.S. to that! So we are able to fast track these vaccines but we can’t put money and time into fast tracking drugs to help people fight Covid if they happen to get it?!?!?
Is this a political or monetary decision? I really don’t know but it seems really fishy to me. Just like it is extremely fishy that everything surrounding Covid is either hush hush or contradictory. If the government would be completely transparent about Covid and the vaccine people could make intelligent decisions on whether to get the vaccine or not, instead of the government low key demanding it. Think about it do you respond better to someone flat out telling you to do something or someone giving you the information and letting you decide for yourself? If you are like most the latter would be true. Thank you (sarcastically) to anyone who voted for Biden and the witches that pull the strings behind him, goodbye American as we know it!
Dying for a Starbucks
Yes I am a Starbucks junkie....I don’t do it that often but when I feel like treating myself there is nothing better than an iced vanilla latte from the coffee queen. This is my 5th day stuck in a true quarantine. I am going absolutely crazy and I keep fantasizing about a nice cold venti latte. As soon as this horrid quarantine is over Starbucks will be my first stop, on the way to an amazing hiking spot! The days definitely drag on in quarantine and my extremely energetic Siberian Husky is itching to go to the dog park. I guess my first outing will have to be Starbucks and the dog park, hiking will have to wait.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
I am a fat kid that loves my cake ...especially this wonderful cake, but I can’t help compare this cake to the state of our country. The countries’ priorities are so upside down and backwards. Every single area needs revision. Let’s talk about one major area:
Schools: Extremely politicized and not interested in true child development. How many adults remember everything they learned in school? How many people use everything they were taught in the 12 years in your day to day life? I am assuming most adults only remember the core education... how to read, write, and basic math. Schools these days are blaming children for not remembering the concepts taught from one year to the next. They are calling for year round school to solve this dilemma.
Here is a concept...let’s really delve into why this is happening. Maybe if we start thinking of children as actual people and not computers or test results we can teach them in a way that they can learn! If you analyze your work environment does everyone act, think and learn the same? NO they do not so why does the education system only support one way of learning? The idea is, listen to me and fill out this assignment if you don’t know what your doing maybe I have two minutes to help you understand but if you still don’t understand don’t worry maybe you will learn with the next assignment. From personal experience and watching my daughter tumble through the education system I know this system doesn’t work for everyone. If my assumptions are correct I don’t think it works for most of the children in the classroom!
Another road block set in place to keep children from really learning is the crazy schedule they impose on the children along with how they teach children even the most basic concepts. For over a year now I have been right in the middle of my child’s education. I have seen what they are learning on a day to day basis and how much time they waste dealing with behavioral problems. When teachers introduce a new concept they give the students maybe two weeks to master it. Once the allotted time is up children are to move on to another new concept or build upon the previous one even if they didn’t completely grasp it.
If instead of rushing our children’s learning we picked 3 or 4 major concepts to address for the whole year we could encourage actual learning in our schools. Maybe if we encouraged children to think for themselves instead of telling them to shut up and keep their hands down, children could actually develop interests in learning/productive hobbies. We could create teenagers that are working towards a life goal instead of focused on being accepted by their peers (don’t even get me started on that!!). Wouldn’t it be great if High School wasn’t a massive waste of time but instead created avenues for teenagers to experience different careers, give them experience to enter a work force that demands experience. Let’s help our children become successful adults.
Let’s give it up for Baker City’s Kerry McQuisten!!!
So if you haven’t heard the mayor of Baker City, Oregon is fighting against Governor Kate Brown’s Covid 19 restrictions. She is claiming that the restrictions are hurting Baker City people more than the virus is. The idea she is trying to get people to understand is that these restaurant/business owners have put their whole life and sometimes all of the money they have into these businesses and now they are being ripped away from them.
Aha moment?? People this should be straight up common sense! I have been arguing this point from the very beginning and I am so happy that a mayor finally had the guts to help her city and stand up for what is right! Let me ask you this.... if a restaurant is open to the public are they forcing people to come eat there? Hmmm... I think not. We now have a vaccine available to anyone 16 and over, so why do we still have restrictions? If the vaccine works as well as they claim....then anyone who gets it shouldn’t be AFRAID of Covid anymore and anyone who chooses not to get it knows the risk that comes with their decision. Having said that, don’t we all have minds and can decide wether or not to go somewhere that could put ourselves at risk, do we really need the government or medical professionals making these decisions for us?? I THINK NOT!!
