Hello :D I've been wondering how animators organise their layers, if that makes sense.
Like the reds and blues and such, how do you know what goes on what layer?
And whatre the purposes of the red and blue colouring? I cannot seem to find a good explanation to this but I'm hoping it's ok to ask
Hi!!
I usually have all of my animation on the same layer. The different colors are used for different body parts for each part of the process. In ToonBoom harmony you can 'select by color', so if I wanna reuse a part of the drawing I just need to select the color of it to copy and paste it into the next frame. It's a time-saver, essentially!
For organizing different body movements and overlapping actions across the animation I use the X-Sheet window in Harmony.
This is where I note down my animation charts!
