the new season of peacemakers first episode is titled the ties that grind and that sounds so much like a wormrot song name it makes me chuckle everytime i read it.

recently i have been seeing people all over the internet and in person talking about the American governments sudden collapse into racially violent fascism, and i think its absurd to not acknowledge that this not variant behavior in any way, this is just white western governments doing what they have done since before their inception, if we want to change the violence inherent to this system then we first have to change the system, we can't change unless we change.

i love dune (the book by Frank Herbert) but i have a hard time not laughing at pretty much every fight scene because it is VERY clear to me that he did absolutely no research on actual fighting styles and just wrote cool shit, which is very sci-fi and i love it.

a few days ago my little brother and i where having a brainrot competition and without even thinking i said "in the words of the great johnny wisdom, sometimes you jork it, and other times it jorks you" and now I've been accrediting everything i quote in general conversation to johnny wisdom.

We get taught all these "women's safety tips" years before we're even women and what can we really sum up from them. Why are we being taught not to be the victim why aren't they being taught not to be the rapists?

And what's the fucking point when most women are raped by people they know, in their own homes. When 1 in 6 women in the us are the victim of rape or attempted rape.

We have to be the ones who are scared. We have to be the ones to protect each other because fuck knows the legal system won't.

I am so fucking tired of being scared.

the fact that we argue over whether or not people should have free healthcare is very much indicative of how our modern culture places profits over human lives. literally

i really hate those cringe compilations on youtube and stuff, not just because the vast majority of them are deeply fatphobic, homophobic and ablest but because they treat being annoying as if it some morally apprehensive act, like yeah they are annoying but like, why is that so evil just don’t watch you don’t have to destroy people confidence over that.
