GSDs are absolutely bred for temperament and commands* due to the legacy of the breed as a working dog in law enforcement, and I assume that the Secret Service, like all other law enforcement is trained on how to engage with GSDs and other working dog breeds and training where the presence of dogs is considered a security threat or liability. Aggressive and reactive dogs are pretty much aggressive and reactive towards all humans/animals.

Signs absolutely point to dangerous/aggressive/and therefore incompetent behavior by Secret Service agents specifically.

So um… I did a thing. . . Polkadot is a saint! This is only the second time clippers have ever touched her body, as I was the first to body clip her (I confirmed that when I talked to the person who trained her, after I did it of course lol) about two years ago when I first got her. That was a full body clip. On top of that, I had only seen people do patterns like this, but I really wanted to try it. So this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this before. I did draw on her in sharpie a guide for myself to follow, so this is not complete free hand. Maybe one day, but not the first time ever doing it. . Then after it was done, I walked her up to the house so Carolyn could see the results. After surprising her with polkadot at her front door, we took a different route back to the paddocks. One including stairs. Polkadot has never walked on stairs. She has loaded and unloaded into a trailer, which has one step, but this was three. She carefully placed each foot and got down the steps calmly. This horse is worth way more than I could ever imagine. I thank the universe for every day I have with her. I don’t often dress up and feel cute, but I did yesterday. I felt cute, polkadot looked extra stunning, so I hopped on her with her halter on originally, walked her over to the sun and took her halter off. I only do pictures like this on her, mostly because I know she’s not gonna take off on me. She hates people falling off her, so much so if I come unbalanced or adjust while she’s walking, she will stop. . She’s such an incredible mare. So very happy with how Sunday went!! I did do two classes, however and unfortunately, we got eliminated in the second one for making a unexpected exit. Still got it done and scored and it was not a bad ride! We got first in the first test and man did we make big improvements from last month. We went from a 59% to a 70% for Intro A. It was a really great time. Absolutely could not have done it without Carolyn! Thank you so much! And thank you to everyone that came and watched. Yes, thorin is nervous about the horses he’s only seen them a few times and they are soooo much bigger than him, but he trusted me enough to set him on polkadot’s back. And polkadot was an absolute angel about it. He even got a little nervous when she moved and tried to grab on a little, I stepped in very quickly and took him off, and she hardly reacted. Bath time. How does she always look so good. 😍 I gave her a bath to try and help with her itchiness. She was so good for it! I’m so proud of how far she’s come with bathing! When I got her over two years ago, I could not tie her and bathe her. Hell I could barely hold her and bathe her. She hated the hose, I know why and don’t blame her. Id hate it to if I was hosed off the way she was before I bought her. She has just come so far in everything. I’m so proud of her. . .
