New updated intro post because I’m back!

Hiii long time no see!!! I’m back where I belong (which is with the engines) and I’m gonna try and post more here again. Sorry I was very distracted by my planet fixation, but I’m back! Anyways here’s a quick intro thing

In summary, my ttte content will be surrounding my own interpretations and headcanons of every engine. I don’t have a real name for my main Au, the old one isn’t accurate to my Au anymore, but it is my own. I have a few select engines that I focus on more than anyone and will draw them the most. Once I really get into it, I’ll make posts about the lore and backstories of my main engines

A few notes though, my Au takes place a few years in the future, in a more peaceful time on Sodor. Steamies and Diesels are no longer against each other. The engines are more used to being in their humanoid forms though they easily switch between them. However, Sir Topham Hatt nor any human is in charge of them, the engines run it themselves , free to run things how they want it. But how this came to be…? That’s to be explained some other day.

Anyway, I’m very self indulgent in what I do, so I’ll mention I have rarepairs, that I will gladly explain some point, I also include OC X canon becauseeeee…I want to.

What's been on my mind lately

Genuinely realizing I am an artist with free will and therefore can draw whatever I want with who ever I want regardless of if it makes sense.

So I genuinely can infact draw Cold Epic wubbox from My singing Monsters, Muhammad Avdol from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure , Robecca Steam from Monster High, Sun from Solarballs, Viggo Grimborn from How to Train Your Dragon and Diesel 10 from Thomas and Friends playing Maces and Talons together (however that works)

A while back I had drawn these out for some of my main engines and it was for a animation thingy but I dont how it turned out so heres just the drawings.

ttte favorite music headcanons

Hello Thomas tumblr, I am going to share my opinions again.

So, I wanna talk about my random headcanons on what music I think some of the engines would like.

-Thomas would listen to Gorillaz, he can sound like 2D if he tries hard enough. His favorite song is Feel Good Ink.

-Edward probably listens to older rock music, I don't have any specifics in mind, I just feel like that's his genre

-Henry and Gordon probably are classical music fans, Honestly Gordon can probably play some of Beethoven's songs on piano, Henry can probably play Violin, that seems like something he'd like to do.

-James would like indie, metal, and jazz probably.

-Percy listens to a mix of things, nothing specific

-Toby likes electro swing

-Duck probably listens to some songs by John Powell (He fuckin' loves the httyd soundtrack, how to train your dragon is his favorite movie), He WOULD also listen to Cosmo Shelldrake.

-Donnie probably likes a mix of things too, Douglas likes a lot more electronic, synth, and indie.

-Oliver will listen to anything playing on the radio

-Diesel 10 DEFO listens to songs like Little Kandi Raver. HE BLASTS Caramelldansen randomly at the Dieselworks. (the other diesels want him gone) AND He probably loves music by Basshunter, and he listens to nightcore and he likes daycore songs. He loves late 2010s late themed things. THERE IS PROBABLY ANIMATION MEME SONGS IN HIS PLAYLISTS.

Hiro- this might come as a surprise, but he is a fan of Ado. He listens to most of her songs. Songs like I'm a controversy, うっせぇわ(Usseewa), and RuLe are a few he'd listen to by Ado. I think he'd also like music by Azari. He'd listen to the song "nothing's working out" by Meiyo.

I think that's all ill say for music headcanons for now.

Alright, ill explain since im home and can actually collect my thoughts. But be warned, I info dumped.

So, for starters, they're both engines who think in similar ways, both following a certain set of rules they've made for themselves, Duck's being "the great western way" and Hiro holds himself to his title as Master of the railway.

They're engines that are hard working and believe in getting tasks done as soon as possible without failure or without letting other things get in the way. They both care about being on time, and they try to avoid letting things stop them from getting things done. They are both very stubborn, very determined, and very rule following engines. However, Duck's stubbornness can lead to delay or problems with others, and Hiro's sometimes gets himself hurt (like in Henry's Hiro when he refused to wait for new coal, he eventually broke down).

Duck's issue with stubbornness tends to effect others more outwardly while Hiro's effects himself. I think they could probably find a balance here.

Moving on from that,

Both are reasonable engines. However, Duck can get heated a bit quicker and can be spiteful. Hiro rarely gets angry. The few times he has, it's because he was pushed to a limit, and then he got annoyed, but he's generally good at handling his emotions.

I feel like their energies kind of are similar, obviously theres differences between them, but I think they could balance each other out.

Another thing is that they both have attachments or love over where they're from. Duck is very proud of being Great Western, as we all know, and Hiro loves his home, though he is not as vocal about it. It was focused on in Hero of the rails and the episode Happy Hiro where he was home sick. Either way I think they'd resonate with each other in that, they could share stories of their old homes together.

Overall, I think they'd be cute together, even in a platonic friendship, I could see them being good friends.

Diesel 10 and Hiro

Drawing I did of Diesel 10 and Hiro (this would take place sometime in the past before current events, around the time they first met)

“Be honest with me Hiro, do you really think I’m capable of this whole…change thing, redemption?” Diesel 10 asked. “Yes” Hiro answered. “Everyone holds on to the things I’ve done, I hardly believe I’ll ever be able to live past that, so why do you? Why do you choose to see past that when you have every right to be disgusted by me like every other steamie” Diesel 10 questioned. Hiro gave Diesel 10 a small smile. “Forgiveness is not easily obtained, especially from something that may seem unforgivable, and not everyone will be forgiven or forgiving, but the most unforgivable are those who refuse to change or refuse to see otherwise. However, I have a feeling that’s not what you think. Diesel 10, I chose to see beyond your past when I first spoke to you because I wanted to judge you for myself after everything, and I have” Hiro replied calmly. “So what have you judged?” Diesel 10 asked. “That you have improvement to do, but that’s not impossible. I think there is more to you than you’re aware of yourself. Give it time, the past becomes more distant everyday…”

I think he’d like feminine clothes, probably find them more comfortable to wear.

Perhaps a bit of a cross dresser, but that’s fun. Lol I wonder what would happen if he and Diesel 10 did drag together (yes my Diesel 10 is a drag queen in her free time)

Rewriting Kenji

Okay so im fixating on Kenji Right now. Which has made me think a lot about things, I don’t think a lot of people talk or even think about him but I’ve got a lot to think about regarding Him AND I’ve also thought about how I would rewrite him as a character. Since he was introduced in the BWBA era and just about the end of the series all together. He hardly had any character to him, as did most new characters, but O so badly wish he did. His design is not bad given that the 0 series Shinkansen are pretty simple in terms of colours in general. I actually think he could of had potential if he was introduced earlier and not just for marketing/toy purposes. There’s so much they could of done in regards to him being an electric engine in general or his speeds, or his relations with others because of being an electric engine, or if it’s easy or hard for him to get along with other engines. And some other detail is that his class was an older electric class I’d say, I mean his class of engine is retired from what I’ve read. Though obviously he is not that old, he still isn’t extremely young either. The 0 series Shinkansen were first built around 1963-1964 whcih is only 4 years after the Br 42 warship (Diesel 10) class was built. Just thought that was interesting.

Anyway, so this is how I would rewrite Kenji as a character, mostly simplified version of what I think because I have rewrote Kenji as a character in my mind to a point I forget how he actually is in canon

-for the basic personality I think I’d write him to be curious but a bit anxious too. I somewhat introverted, or struggles to talk to new people. I don’t know to me he gave off sort of an anxious or introverted sort of vibe. I think for relating.

-despite being a bit introverted, he hates being alone, since that was one definite thing I could get from him as a character from the episode Kenji on the rails(I think that’s the episodes name) that he was scared to travel alone. I think he’s got a fear of being alone in general. Maybe I’m reading way too much into a character marketed for children but I don’t know.

-random thing, I headcanon his favourite animal is a great white shark, that’s why I give him shark teeth and eyes when I draw my humanoid design for

-for character relations, I would of liked to see more of Kenji and Hiro, to see their contrasts and similarities. Perhaps talking about what they remember of Japan and comparing their experiences from different times. Since Hiro is already pretty calm and more relaxed than some of the other characters I think he and my Kenji would be really good friends, Hiro could be someone he can have that he doesn’t feel so anxious around.

-I want to pretend Hiro and Kenji never left Sodor.

-episode ideas could include maybe something that involves the diesels, I want to know what Diesel 10 would think of Kenji. Or another episode idea could be some sort of scenario that involves both Kenji and Duck, id like to see how an old fashioned and proud steamie would contrast with A mostly modern electric engine who (atleast mine) sometimes struggles with being an electric, and being apart of a huge change when it comes to travel yet his particular class isn’t really used anymore. I think a good episode idea that could be relatable or give some form of lesson could be learning how to cope with anxiety and not letting it stop you from being around others or being really useful. Maybe how to deal with stress too.

Nobody ask me where I pull this all from, I don’t know, thats how I’ve managed to characterised Kenji in my mind
