abuse is your mom coming home and yelling at and/or hitting you for not cleaning the kitchen, not temporarily withholding wifi until you do a chore. it isn’t abusive to teach children to do chores. it’s more effective to give rewards for chores, and that’s what you should do because punishment doesn’t teach much except trying to avoid it, but this isn’t abuse.
