World Turtle Day
World Turtle Day, held on May 23rd, is an internationally acknowledged day that celebrates all turtles and raises awareness about the threats they face.
Sea turtle species are classed as vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered on the IUCN Red List. Turtles are endangered because of human activity. They are hunted for their eggs, shells, and meat, or are unintentionally caught in fishing nets and waste plastics. Other threats include habitat destruction, sea turtle farming, climate change, pollution, and entanglement in fishing gear.

International Markhor Day
International Markhor Day is observed annually on 24 May to raise awareness about the conservation of the markhor, a wild mountain goat native to Central and South Asia.
But I didn't feel like drawing it so here's a chibi profile picture I drew for my friend yesterday as her birthday gift.
