This is the sole screenshot from the abandoned 1993 computer game "Neurofibromatosis, cancer, and me" - a software intended to teach Patients about their conditions, and what their treatment options are. It included a minigame based on receiving chemotherapy, a guide on what to pack for extended hospital stays, as well as a Glossary of medical terms they may encounter.
It was only released in North America and the United Kingdom, but there were plans to release it in Germany, Poland, and Austria for Autumn 1996, due to promising sales.
However, it was recalled in 1994 due to the disturbing "secret room" scenario that a player in Manchester, England stumbled upon when dissecting the game's code. The software developers (CoriumSoft) issued a statement apologizing for the error, citing a since-terminated disgruntled employee, but their reputation never recovered.
CoriumSoft ceased to be that same year, with many developers moving to the rival GynoWare, which specialized in sun-tanning games.
