Back-pain blog post 1
16-08-2019
Most of my backpain has resolved over this summer vacation, what a relief! I really believe in this TMS term coined by Dr. John E. Sarno.
I'm surprised by what I read today on why the pain takes time to be resolved, and not in an instant.
P.S. I'm intrigued in the poems last lines by Edna st. Vincent Millay.

Fun Fact #1
1-7-2019
We as humans have manufactured enough concrete to cover the whole earth, oceans included, in a 2mm layer of flat concrete, and have discarded enough plastic to create a film around the whole of earth. Thank you fellow humans for your contribution.

Off-White going green???
30-6-2019
Fashion brand Off-White allegedly cares about the environment and decides to make the theme of it's recent fashion show all about the reduction of PLASTIC with VS model Gigi Hadid. However i find it completely ironic that a brand going green will plant 30,000 flowers in the ground just to trample them as observed in the photo below in the name of *fashion*. This is the issue with the fashion industry. They try to Greenwash people making them think they're all about the planet and all about the environment but still plant, grow, and fertilize 30,000 carnations just to trample them in an attempt to showcase and sell clothing. As if the way in which these clothes were produced wasn't unethical enough, and instead of keeping some of their vile actions behind the curtains, Off-White brought their unsustainability on stage and the critics called it *art* just because birdsong was played in the background while 30,000 flowers were trampled dead.
Good On You rated Off-White's environmental impact Very Poor, their Labor Conditions: Not Good Enough, and their animal welfare not good enough.
Boycott unethical fashion. Boycott fast fashion.

Virgil Abloh's brand is worn by the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rihanna. But how does it impact the planet, people and animals? How ethical
Hot air and low humidity
28-06-2019
Contrary to what the European continent is experiencing right now, Lebanon has been experiencing some mild, hot, low humidity weather. Bless. Iāve been on summer break for a month and itās been the bestĀ thing thatās happened to me in years. Everything has been calm for maybe 2 weeks now. Iāve been working on my mental health and learning how to manage my anger better. My sibling M is an abomination to mankind itself and heās been making my process much harder. Idk where he got these genes from... I blame my dadās side of the family. But then again, being Lebanese, donāt we all?

Sustainability
19-06-2019
Today, i was watching a sustainablity video by Kristen Leo on YouTube and my brother H was listening in the background. He got really interested in her content and might adopt sustainablity!!! I'm just so happy to be part of the process of spreading awareness, being sustainable and helping the planet. Kristen helped me get into thrifting FOR THE PLANET not the trends, and thrifting for SUSTAINABILITY not for the maintenance of a certain image. This woman changed my life and she deserves so much support. She deserves to be heard and she deserves to have better chances at spreading awareness.

Reading Vlogs
18-06-2019
It's so weird to even talk about this with all the rage going down on booktube but i dislike reading vlogs. I think they're lazy, and uncreative when it comes to creating quality content. That, in addition to them being really long and uninteresting. Don't watch them you might suggest. I subscribed for quality content and creativity and entertainment and it's sad to see all my favorite booktubers, the ones i grew up with, replacing their work or as they'd like to call it *expand* and *grow* their channel, by writing eps and vlogs of their reading!!! Not their lifestyle or their travels or their activities but mere reading and I'm not about that. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Consumerist for a day
7-6-2019
Look at me already doing changes after graduating lol.
Today, my best friend J and I went shopping for makeup like the graduating noobs we are and that was a fun experience of inexperienced adults in the wild. We don't know what anything is called, what colors suit us best, and how to use all the tools. Also, did i mention we're broke af? Yeah that... So i ended up talking us through to the ladies at the place so they could help us obtain the least expensive products for the good quality we want. Awkward as it is, i feel good doing this *adult* purchase that allows me to experiment with this art on my face.

5-6-2019: T5W
Since Iāve missed all of the top 5 Wednesdays done so far as Iām new to the blogging community, and since Sam put T5W on hiatus this summer, I will be starting with the :
Most nostalgic ships topic
My top 5 most nostalgic ships since i was younger will forever be:
5- Eleanor and Park from Eleanor and Park. This couple was so damn cute and innocent and pure and interesting. Maybe growing up Iād have a different opinion on them and on the matter of how their relationship developed and the lack of communication but I really love them nonetheless. Iād never reread the book just to keep the memory aliveā¦
4- Nastya and Josh from The Sea of Tranquility. This is a slowburn romance that centers around physically abused Nastya and her new friend Josh as she overcomes her solitude and accepts her past while embracing her future.
3- Katniss and Peeta from the Hunger Games. Easy to say, there was never team Gale to begin withā¦
2- Lena and Julian in Pandemonium and ONLY Pandemonium. Iāll just leave it at that.
1- Liesel and Rudy from The Book Thief, the ship that never sailed for⦠Reasons
Shadow and Bone Book Review
31-5-2019
DISCLAIMER
āāā/5
A few days ago, i finished reading Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo and that was a piece of 2012 fantasy full of all the tropes. Love triangle, female hate, forgettable side characters and bad world building. Am i the only one who had zero idea what each of the grisha powers were? I mean it's not hard to help us out. I read mistborn and kept track of every single metal but this was just a mess. I gave it 3 stars because it kept me engaged, it kept me thinking but i remember nobody other than Alina, Mal, and the darkling. I hated the darkling and I was spoiled allcthe way to king of scars so i know how his arc goes and i don't approve . I couldn't even imagine alina in my head, and everytime a description of Mal came up i saw Julien from CCs shadowhunter books whom we don't want to taint with this forgettable blob. I hated that I didn't love this. I was sooooo ready to fall onto this bandwagon. Darklina should have been different.
Name three books youāve read as a child that made you fall in love with books for the rest of your life
Childhood reading

The two pigeons, chicken licken, the seven little goats: all before I turned 6.
I had the freaking best childhood.

At laaaaast. M and I finish finals tomorrow. We'll get our BSc and we'll be onto the next step of this life of ours: Grad school in the best university in all of Lebanon and the MENA region. I'm very blessed to have what I have with the people I have it with, in the country I wanted to leave so bad at one point.

26-5-1019/Shadow and bone
Disclaimer!! Unpopular opinions ahead!
I'm reading shadow and bone by leigh bardugo and lemme tell you this is PURE 2012 YA fantasy. The romances, the female-female hate at least in the 1st book, the undeveloped side characters, even though i heard this gets better. It's already picking up. I'm on page 270 and it's getting really interesting. I would like to have mal more fleshed out though... I honestly don't understand the grishaverse fandom love for the darkling. He's abusive, manipulative, and he basically sexually harasses Alina without considering consent. And if he were a creepy unattractive guy who kisses her and tries to seduce her, we wouldn't be swooning over that now would we...

It's almost 2 am here in Lebanon and the wait is stretching. I'm studying for my business elective and let me tell you i didn't study that hard for any of my major courses!!! I'm so tired and the 5 day wait is only endless. By noon on Wednesday I'll be a freeeee human. Who would've thought I'd survive university?! I'm not eager to start my MSc anytime soon. I need some well deserved sun. And in 3 months, M and I will be attending grad school!!!

Finals...
24-05-2019
I hate to be bitching, but I assume you can relate... itās as if the longer these finals go on for it provokes feelings of bitterness inside me. Feelings of nothing, besides that you must work on your duties. NO time for anything else!
Yesterday we did our third final together & it was a relief to be completely finished with that damned course. Itās true just a few more days of finals & weāre done, but I donāt ever want to be in such a constricted state ever again.
