“Inefable” by Lullaby Equine Art

“Inefable” in spanish means: Something so amazing and beautiful that can’t be described. That’s what  friesian horses are for me. The background color is literally the life of the portrait and gives me warmth and…. indescribable feeling.

Wow thank you so much! 1000 followers! I can’t believe it!!!!

When I decided to make this blog I’m not expected to have that much welcomed by your side! I’m so happy :D And thanks to that I want to reward you with a contest of a portrait do it by me! A few weeks ago I gave you four photos of four horses in what you can choose for your favorite for me to paint. I’ve already decided what will be the horse of the BIG PORTRAIT CONTEST!! “Lightning” by Lullaby Equine Art 

Mixed media of acrylic and watercolor 30x40 cm / 11.7"x15.6" on watercolor paper. Finally I’ve decided to put a gold backgroud and is the best idea ever. It helps the white of the horse come to the foreground even more than if the background was white like I think first! And depending on the light and has a lot glitter, it sparkles and makes it very special. I am very happy with this job. Do it in 4 hours  I have not to do it so fast but the thought of seeing it finished it can with me haha

The photo is in black and white because I felt it more artistic haha but the watercolor is too. I love to paint in black and white because I spent many years drawing just with pencils, color is still something new to me! Although the background of the picture is white I would love to put gold on my paint, some or all of gold , I don’t wantto take off the “leadership” of the horse but I want to do something cool with the background! 

 What do you think? Can you help me? I want your opinion please <3

A gold wash would be very unique and would help the “white” horse come to the foreground even more!

Hi everyone! 

Right now I have 827 followers (thank you so much to everyone of you! ♥ ) so I think it’s the time to REVEAL my little SECRET: When I hit 1000 followers I’ll do a CONTEST for one HORSE PAINTING and a PRINT of a painting of mine (“Wind Whisperer”, “White Storm”, “Mighty”…) to choose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And like the painting will be for one of you I want you to tell me which is your favorite of the four horses that I show you here. You can tell me in this post or ask or DM. You need to tell me with these “codenames” to not mess me up please:

-”Hafliger Love” for the first one.

-”White horse” for the second

-”Spirit” haha for the third 

-And “Frisian” for the last horse.

Choose well because I will count the votes and the winner horse will be the choosen for go to the home of one of you in the BIGHORSE PORTRAIT CONTEST.

The drawing will be at a size of 20x30 cm (7,6” x 11,8") and the shipping of the portrait will be international and FREE so I want everyone to participate in the choose of the horse for the contest!

I made some calculations and in less than a month I will can reach 1000. You will have three weeks to vote the horse that you like and I will tell you wich will be the winner :)

(This is NOT the BIG CONTEST, this is to choose a horse FOR the contest. I will say the bases of the contest when I reach 1000 followers :D)

I think it’s the time to post my entire life drawing horses. I like horses since I have memory and I think them are the most beautiful creatures in Earth. I’m 19 years old (For silly people: of course that in all these years I’ve been drawing other things like people, dogs, food (yes, food), but horses for me always have something special)

Well, let’s go with an analysis of the photos:

First picture: me with 4-5-6 years old. omg that horse is scary (and not to mention the typical yellow sun in the corner hahaha) It reminds me the diary of a little girl who had a terrible ghost like imaginary friend.

Second picture: me with 6-8 years old. Look at that sassy horse. It’s seems like that typical preppy blonde girl in your high school.

Third photo: me with 8-11? years old. I loved Spirit and I wanted to tune it.

Fourth and Fifth picture : When I was 12-16 years old I just drawing with pencil. I think I was three or five years drawing with pencil. I loved the pencils. FINALLY here is the beginning to horses with high level. I don’t  know about you but I’m still scared of the first horse hahaha

Sixth and Seventh picture : My first time with watercolors. It was hard put aside the pencil because I had spent much time drawing only on grayscale and start with the color it’s really bothered me. But with patience and effort (and a few horses thrown in the trash) I managed to get to the Eighth and Ninth picture. 

The only advice I can give you is if you want to dedicate to this you need patience. A LOT. How you see, this takes years of experience and development. My horses have evolved as pokemon because I have not lost confidence in myself. I think this is a clear example that if you want something strongly, finally it’s get amazing results. I hope you liked it! ♥
