Little drawing of their technically second date after being separated for about 5 years due to Isabella moving schools when they were 12 and then transferring to Jynx Academy near the start of the school year, both of them coming to the realisation while apart that how they felt toward the other in their preteen years may not have platonic after all, those feeling only growing when they reunite and spend more time together, all cheesy teen romance tropes included.
While Isabella was away, she ended up in a relationship with the son of the Geo Coven Head; Evan Powell, who proved himself to be incredibly arrogant, manipulative, controlling and Abusive toward Isabella until they broke up, and now that they're attending the academy together, Evan is pestering Isabella around the clock to win her affection back. Due to Isabella making an excuse on the fly about hanging out with Michel that night to escape Evan, the two of them decide it'd be fun and would avoid suspicion to actually go out that night, Michel recruiting the help of his dormmate Flare and using his knowledge of his mums k-dramas plans a textbook date for him and Isabella; the night almost ending with the two of them kissing but both end up pulling away at the last second. After berating from friends on both ends, Michel asks Isabella if they can maybe have a do-over, him planning a casual date at the aquarium for the two of them where, alone in an observation room at the centre of one of the tanks, the two share a duet that ends them finally getting that kiss they've both unknowingly wanted for years.
Michel is bisexual and genderfluid, uses he/they and is a siren who uses Lunar magic and is the middle child of the Lunar Coven Head: William Kim. Michel or Mike is a nickname he uses due to it being easier for those around him to pronounce than his birth name; Min-kyung (민경). As his name suggests, Michel is Korean; born in Seoul, South Korea, and makes frequent trips there to visit his maternal family. His parents are divorced, and Michel grew up with his older brother Chris or Chung-Kyu (정규) and his mother Eunbyul (은별), helping out on their restaurant and learning how to cook all kinds of western and Korean dishes until he turned 16 and began working there whenever he isn't at the academy. His familiar is the small manatee adjacent one; a Norvonian animal known as a moonatee named Blizzard. Michel and Blizzard first met at Isabellas's parents' shop, and ever since, Michel has become extremely protective of Blizzard due to moonatees being unable to get angry and also aren't born with any means of defending themselves, they do later in life grow tusks and a horn made of ice but these are purely for mobility and scavenging food. Due to the naturally docile nature of moonatees, young Michel wasn't really all that thrilled about receiving a moonatee and his destined familiar, but Blizzard quickly proved himself to be a perfect fit for Michel, able to calm him down when he's angry or upset and Blizzards cute and goofy antics never fail to make him smile.
Isabella is bisexual and uses she/her and is a siren who uses Geo magic and is the youngest of two. She owns a small familiar shop, originally owned by her parents, but she took ownership at 17, which led to her transferring to the academy. Her family is extremely close to Kai and Flares, the three of them knowing each other since birth and having a natural sibling dynamic. Even after Isabella switched schools, she kept in touch with Kai, and whenever things got rough with Evan, she would always go to him, and once she transferred and realised Flare was not only alive but had escaped the Pyro District, the three of them soon became inseparable, with Flare watching Michel and Isabella and ooing and awing at them all the time. Isabella's familiar is the small manta ray; their species don't have any official names (I can only think of so many puns), but her name is Bubbles, and she's been Isabellas mini me since the day they met, if Isabella has an idea or a plan then Bubbles already on their way before she can finish her sentence, and anytime Michel and Isabella are sat together, Bubbles and Blizzard are cuddling and snuggling up together and going in circles around each other while Michel and Isabella both pretend to not notice amd tell themselves that it doesn't imply anything about how they feel for each other.
Isabella is also my boyfriends oc, so I could be wrong on a few things (❀◦‿◦)
