I have p-shifted a few times, both fully and partially. My wolf form is not exactly "normal" nor has a "normal coat colour". Biped + Quadruped.

This blog is entirely for rambles when i feel i need them.

less serious things -

i am lgbt and intersex, have been in witch, therian, pshifter, and otherkin circles for over 15 years. I have long passed the ideas that we can bend currently known science or logic into that which justifies our existance- if you exist, you do not need to prod for "why" - simply enjoy the life you have.

I enjoy and revel in "stereotypical" things. I love the moon, my pack, and my 1990's horror movies.

I was reminded of something that I saw in 2018, or about - a group of very young people trying to convince others that physical nonhumans have a language that we can speak that humans have never documented.

While this idea is frankly a bit ridiculous (people would have posted about it by now) - i do think that a language is not too far off from reality, if the community chose to do so.

Not only do conlangs exist, but there are running jokes throughout media we could base a "shifter language" on. From vampires speaking latin (though this is more of a "haha vampires old" joke), to various languages being attributed to werewolves (entirely fictional ones like wolf-speak, not so fictional ones like esperanto, etc), as well as media making conlangs for dragons and elves - the idea of a unifying language for nonhumans is far from unexplored.

I do think making a conlang would be near impossible - no one would ever fully agree, but what do y'all think? Personally i think it'd be better to adopt an existing language (like latin or esperanto), but i am far from a linguist or polygot.

When I say I'm a P-Shifter people think it's in like a "I believe I can shapeshift into a nonhuman being 100% and I tell everyone about it and I have no doubts in my mind that this is a real thing!" Kind of way

But really I'm a P-Shifter in a "I was a part of the mythical community for years and I have seen genuine progress (and some fake progress) from those attempting it, I have even made some progress myself in the past, I don't tell anyone except my mermaid pod about it (and I guess you guys now) and I definitely have doubts on whether it's real or not, and I'm not delusional, I know what my delusions look like and I know how to prevent and stop them. This is not a delusion."

(obviously if you are the first example you are completely valid too!)

shocking to see that this is a divide in the community. shifters always had half and half 100% belief and 50% belief. hell some old webs websites had disbelievers in them.

its also okay if you feel like you have "grown out" of shifting fully. a lot of older weres find that shifting once a year is all they need. some stop pshifting altogether.

our journies are all different. some folks, like myself, need to pshift and need to fully express nonhumanity when we can.
