I'm considering spending a week just walking around the city for the graffiti and posters alone - It's like a dystopian nightmare done in magnificent fashion; organized anarchy. Windows, walls, doors, shutters - all surfaces are a blur of color, art, and/or dissent.

Bonus points if anyone can tell me who that guy is.

Graffiti here is an acceptable outlet for aggression, concern, and passion. Alleys and small streets are filled with nice cafes and outdoor seating and covered with posters of upcoming anarchist rallies and spray-painted slogans like "Fuck May 68, Fight Now" and "My Fellow Politicians, Let Us Get Rid Of The Dirty Minds".

Impressive pictures from an impressive photographer.

And the second of two - this movie also covers the 2008 Russian-Georgian War, but from the Russian perspective. I think the compare/contrast between the two is incredibly interesting and really telling of Russia's perspective of Georgia and America, versus America's Georgian perspective of Russia. Plus, Val Kilmer's involved and I'm all for that.

People were throwing kopek coins at the hare, like a carnival game. I have no clue why the people on the street don't consider this a time of harvest at this most magical of places - I can't imagine how much is at the bottom if that's just one short winter.
