The closing [ chapter 10 ]

There was a rumble again, then a loud sound that reminded you of the closing of a door.

There was silence again, the shade of the headmaster appeared in front of the door, their hands resting against the portal as they closed off the magic once again. The story of Charta had been heard and people would remember her once again. The headmaster wasn't satisfied, the students of the academy had been unable to finish the chapters that the portal had to tell.... Perhaps in two more centuries new students would be able to do so? They wondered, with a sigh the headmaster left the room and as they walked away bricks formed behind them, closing off the mysterious room, then the hallway. Portraits screamed in the deep of night, terrorizing the academy as they were build in again, darkness eating them up.

The fountain was still there however, hidden in the darkness, blood of all those that had died at the academy fueling it. And all that would die would fill it up, their dying thoughts swirling around the marble. The headmaster looked back, one last glimpse. "And this is why no one can die here." They whispered, knowing that they still had and still would. All the headmaster could do was try to have death appear outside of the boundaries of the school.

That night, there was a thunderstorm, the headmaster sat in the garden where they were surrounded by artifacts all around the world. Stuff was missing they noticed with a grimace.

They got up and sighed, the group that had won needed to be rewarded. Even if they failed eventually.

Notice!!

Due to the lost interest for the event; I have decided to cut it short. This means that there will be less badges, but no worries, for the people that have made their way through the event and finished all chapters, they will still get the super special event badge, ah!

For people that missed one badge there is the chance to get one badge now by writing a selfpara of +500 words as they hear that the portal has closed.

A post with the finishing information for the event will be posted later.

Sadly I could not finish the last two chapters to end the event properly, but I still hope all will have enjoyed the ride!

Chapter 9

Sadly only sungyeol-ia & nurseren-ia submitted for chapter 9 while it was one of the easiest to complete chapters.

Considering to just wrap up the event with one last post since people lost interest.

Chapter 9 - Not like this

The air was filled with ashes, dancing down in the air. Fairy dust twirled around with the grey flocks that had once been her. "Find her sister!" The headmaster screamed, tears running down their invisible cheeks. As they started crying the thunder clouds collected above the academy and it would pour down for 8 days and 8 nights. The sunsprites were scared and the dragons sat upon the roofs with their golden eyes that searched the land for the missing girl.

Red shoes were carried by the headmaster to a room so sacred that no one could enter. The headmaster let the two small shoes fall into the fountain of all that had passed. The fabric colored a darker red as soon as it hit the crimson and then slowly disappeared. The headmaster would never draw again after that day. Instead they picked up their violin and played the song, they played the song until the sister had been found. They played the song to ask her back.

Please, please come back home.

The corpses of necromancers scattered around the academy. Warlocks repairing the shield around the academy and witches making sure that all the enchantments were back in place.

Please come back home.

Were animals were allowed to shift during the day as they helped disposing of the corpses, dragons burning the enemies and the demons that were part of the academy sending the remaining Necromancers back to join the others in the dark realms. Angels from all religions had not been there, their place was not at the academy anymore since the humans needed them more. Religions all over the world growing and needing their guides. The demons blamed the angels for abandoning them, the elves stared into the sunset, dreaming of another world.

Then, underneath the body of a slain dragon there were two little feet. Feet without shoes. Little toes peeking out of ripped socks, a dark blue skirt stained and now purple. Crimson spots on the white blouse and long brown hair a tangled mess that framed the lifeless face of the sister.

And every member of the council was crying now.

You came back home, but not as I wanted you to.

The sky would be dark for four more months before a weak sun finally broke through again.

ASSIGNMENT

Selfpara.

Pick a song, include it as a link in your selfpara.

Your character hears that song before they go to sleep, in their dreams they are a musica based on that song. They know about this legend about the musica that didn't wake up. You have to write a para that includes this legend in some way. Maybe they heard about it from their parents? Maybe they were there? Maybe you write about another musica finding the sister? Be as creative as you want to be!

When your character wakes up they see the vision of red shoes one last time before they disappear. But, when they go to their closet they find that one of the pair of shoes they own became red.

You will get points for every 100 words you write!

100 words -> 10 points 200 -> 20 points 300 -> 30 points etc.

max 900+ words -> 90 points

There is a darkness that comes with lost children.

This is the day, the day half of the academy burned down. Necromancers are coming from everywhere. The headmaster does not fight, they just stare in pain as they watch their creation be destroyed. They can not fight, not when the ones attacking used to be part of the council. They are coming. Charta screams and the headmaster pulls her back. Not her. They whisper, yet she is already burning and they try to put it out. Not her.

Chapter 7 + 7.1 - The whispers

“Something is happening.” The council nodded, 26 people were sitting in the room, 6 were missing at the meeting to great unhappiness of Choi Eun hee, she huffed. “There is always something happening. It is never silent, not with the humans acting up and all that Christian bullshit.” The angels made insulted sounds, feathers moved in distress. “It is not bullshit” One of the Christian angels said, his voice filled with pride and arrogance. “The son of God is-“ “Yeah yeah, keep it for your humans-“ Eun Hee said, drops of water falling onto the angel’s nose who hissed in disgust.

“Where is the headmaster?” The tall onodrim asked in his slow voice. There was silence, the chair in the middle of the table was empty. The 33th was never empty.

“They had other things to do-“ Every member of the council turned to the young girl that had eyes that looked like they were drawn on, hands that seemed to be made of paper. “Charta, only of your kind, what do you speak of?” The Onodrim asked in a far kinder tone of voice than any of the others could have mustered. “The headmaster is trying to find.. her.” She admitted, tugging on her braids nervously. The council fell silent. “Someone needs to control the headmaster, they need to be here. Not off doing whatever they like. With the elves already speaking about moving away-“ “What can we do now that the necromancers are getting stronger-“ “God has different plans for this world than-“ “The demons will not sit by while you all are trying to make this world cupcakes-“

The council members bickered on until one of the doors opened, a shade walked in carrying two red shoes. Tiny and made by angels. “I have returned.” They said as they stepped onto the table and took their seat. “ I have returned.” They repeated, watching all those around them. “Are you all unable to function without my presence?” The headmaster shook their head, a glimpse of light skin could be seen, and then a glimpse of dark as they re-adjusted their cape.

“Now, what is going on in Bethlehem?” The headmaster asked, crossing their legs and leaning back.

ASSIGNMENT: This is a two-parter!

Your character feels drawn to the room with the portal again and watches the above scene as if you are watching a movie. They do not participate as they did in previous visions, they merely watch.

part 1: Write one short self - para of about 400 words about what your character thinks of what they saw. I suggest you start with them waking up in their bedrooms, confused why they are there. Be aware that only people that went through the Choi Eun Hee vision know who she is.

After your character had the vision they go on with life. A few days later they find themselves seeing red shoes everywhere. Yet the shoes can not be touched and seem to be illusions. It is strange to see shoes hanging in trees, floating in the lake and dangling around the necks of fellow students. What is this?

part 2: Write one short self - para (400 words) about your character seeing the shoes everywhere. How do they deal with the illusions? Will the talk to others about it? What do they think it means?

If you have finished both part 1 and part 2 you will receive +4 points for your group.

The group that has the most people that participated by Friday the 27th will get +15 points.

After finding the strange garden the members can all bring one item with them from the garden. Write a small selfpara or do a short para (minimum 5 lines p reblog) interaction with someone about the items, where the characters discuss what the garden means and what the items mean.

When submitting the (self-)para's include How long they are and which members contributed. You can do one selfpara and contribute to as mana (group)para's as you want.
