hello  loves. we  wanted  to  make  a  post  to  say  that  we  will  be  closing  portum’s  doors  for  the  time  being.  it  has  been  a  wonderful  year  within  the  fog  and  we  couldn’t  have  done  it  without  all  of  our  brilliant  members,  but  it’s  time  to  hang  up  our  fangs  and  our  tails  for  a  little  while.  with  emma  getting  married  and  manes  soon  jetting  off  to  new  york,  life  has  come  at  us  fast  ;  we  don’t  have  the  time  we  used  to  dedicate  to  our  group  and  we  don’t  want  to  disappoint  you  as  members. please  feel  free  to  keep  in  touch  and  we  will  hopefully  reopen  our  doors  one  day  soon. lots  of  love, emma  &  manes

oh,  look,  there’s  a  new  bulletin  on  the  town  hall’s  panel !  it  says  our  dear  WARLOCK,  DEANDRE ADEYEMI,  is  looking  for  HIS MOTHER  who  is  40+ physically & 140+ actual age  years  old  and  might  resemble  WUNMI MOSAKU (!!!) , UZO ADUBA, YVONNE ORJI, CYNTHIA ERIVO  / ANY NIGERIAN FC*.  the  bulletin  also  indicates  they  are  a  WITCH  and  you  DO have  to  contact  the  mun  @avdaciter.  if  you  want  to  know  more,  this  is  what  we  have:  

*  I'd  love  it  if  we  could  respect  Damson's  Nigerian  roots  in  terms  of  having  both  parents  descent  from  Nigeria.  However,  I  do  understand  that  it  might  be  hard  to  find  older  FCs  that  can  fit  the  WC  both  ethnically  and  in  age,  so  I  would  be  okay  to  have  other  black  fcs  filling  the  WC  if  you  had  them  in  mind.  I've  had  that  his  demon  dad  chose  to  perform  as  someone  from  Nigerian's  Yoruba  to  have  that  part  covered  and  respected. (mentions  of  infant's  death  &  infant  abduction) DeAndre  was  born  in  New  Orleans,  to  an  Earth  Witch  (can  be  changed,  but  De's  magical  element  is  Earth,  so  I'd  like  to  think  he  got  that  from  his  mama)  and  the  demon  Asmodeus,  the  demon  of  lust.  Asmodeus  pretended  to  be  a  respectful  man  and  seduced  the  daughter  of  a  high  priest  because  he  wanted  a  child  that  could  be  a  trustful  liaison  between  hell  and  earth.  When  De's  mom  gave  birth  to  him,  Asmodeus  tricked  her  into  think  the  baby  had  been  born  dead  and  took  him  to  Portum,  to  be  raised  by  a  trusted  demon  of  his. Neither  mother  nor  child  knew  of  each  other  up  until  ten  years  ago,  when  Asmodeus  came  clean  to  your  muse  about  what  had  happened  and  YM  came  to  Portum  to  try  and  reconnect  with  her  child.  I  don't  think  Asmodeus  stuck  around  your  muse  for  long,  either.  He  had  a  goal  and  after  that  goal  had  been  reached,  I  think  he  just…  went  back  to  hell.  I  chose  an  actual  demon  to  keep  things  as  detached  as  possible  and  not  give  this  shitty  dude  a  redemption  arc  of  any  kind. DeAndre  isn't  the  easiest  to  be  around,  and  he's  definitely  not  familiar  to  love  and  care,  at  least  not  in  the  most  conventional  way,  so  I  think  it  would  be  nice  to  have  your  muse  teach  him  about  these  things.  I'd  love  to  work  on  their  bond  gradually,  but  steadily. I'm  very  open  change  most  things  about  this  connection,  but  the  one  thing  I'm  not  changing  is  the  fact  that  De  and  his  mom  have  spent  most  of  their  lives  away  from  one  another.  It's  part  of  his  personality  that  he  didn't  receive  parental  love  until  later  in  his  life,  and  was  basically  raised  by  maids  and  nannies  who  were  only  fulfilling  his  dad's  wishes.  He  does  try  and  be  nice  to  YM,  but  it  is  a  work  in  progress.

we  can  definitely  make  a  page  for  that,  and  we'll  reach  out  to  our  members  to  gather  all  the  individual  abilities.  we're  unsure  of  what  you're  referring  to  when  it  comes  to  the  dragons,  though.  they  have  hoards,  but  they're  not  individual.  several  dragons  can  have  the  same  hoard. and  in  regards  to  the  species,  you  can  find  what  each  muse  is  on  our  character  page  !

IC  INFORMATION.

after  the  attack  the  town  took  some  time  to  heal,  both  mentally  and  physically.  with  no  council  to  keep  portum  together,  the  town  was  left  to  pick  up  the  pieces.  a  few  members  of  the  community  saw  the  destruction  and  heartbreak  and  decided  to  take  matters  into  their  own  hands  to  help  the  town  rebuild.  on  october  13th  the  whole  community  will  be  able  to  come  together  to  celebrate  and  remember  everything  that  happened  this  year.  there  will  be  a  food  market  with  everything  from  pizza  to  egg  rolls  to  cupcakes.  it’s  not  fixing  everything,  but  it  is  a  start.

DATE :    october  13th.

TIME :    all  -  day  event.

LOCATION :   portum’s  town  square. 

ACTIVITIES :   raffles,  food  and  drinks,  memorial  unveiling,  writing  prompts .

anniversary  prompts

you  can  pick  and  choose  which  prompts  you  want  to  reply  to.  it  could  be  all  or  it  could  be  none.  they're  all  designed  for  you  to  let  you  reflect  on  your  muse's  past  and  see  the  changes  that  has  happened  along  the  way.

the  first  step : describe  your  muse(s)  arrival  to  portum.  what  was  their  first  impression  ?  how  did  they  stumble  upon  the  town  taking  in  supernatural  runaways  ?  maybe  you  want  to  expand  on  the  reason  your  muse  had  for  needing  portum  in  the  first  place.

the  first  bond :  who  was  the  first  person  your  muse  connected  with  when  they  arrived  in  portum  ?  how  did  their  relationship  start  ?  what  is  their  bond  like  now  ?

the  first  secret :  there's  no  secret  that  people  end  up  in  portum  when  they  have  nowhere  left  to  go.  how  did  the  conversation  go  when  your  muse  opened  up  for  the  first  time  ?

the  one  regret :  what  is  the  one  thing  that  your  muse  regrets  ?  it  could  be  inside  or  outside  of  portum's  walls.  there  has  to  be  something  they  wish  they  could've  done  differently.  what  is  that  one  thing  ?

memorial  unveiling

a  memorial  will  be  placed  in  the  town's  square  as  a  promise  to  never  forget  what  happened.  it's  been  designed  and  made  by  artists  from  the  portum  institute  of  art  and  will  be  unveiled  during  the  festivities  at  4pm.

raffle  details

in  support  of  all  the  small  businesses  that  suffered  from  the  attacks  ,  the  organisers  put  together  a  raffle  where  all  the  profits  will  go  toward  rebuilding  what  was  lost. all  locations put  together  amazing  prices  and  the  winners  will  be  revealed  after  the  memorial  unveiling.

three  lucky  winners  will  receive  two  tickets  from  portum’s  entertainment  center.  who  doesn’t  love  a  movie  experience  on  the  big  screen?
