           THE DELICACY IN WHICH FLOWERS ARE HANDLED BY THE YOUNGEST HAWTHORNE MIMICS THE WAY HER MOTHER USED TO BRAID HER HAIR.   tousled  locks  are  tucked  almost  neatly  behind  her  ears  as  posy’s  focus  remains  on  the  project  before  her.   though  not  officially,  she’s  put  together  somewhat  of  a  victor’s  crown.   the  restrictions  in  twelve  left  posy  with  the  lack  of  chances  to  grow  up  completely,  developing  far - off  ideas  that  princesses  &  dragons  still  existed  somewhere  out  there.     ❛   guess  this  makes  you  the  king  of  district  twelve.   ❜     a  hint  of  a  smile  flashes,  one  that  fails  to  fade  as  the  carefully  pieced  together  petals  are  inspected  one  last  time.     ❛   don’t  tell  gale,  but  i  think  that  makes  him  the  court  jester.   ❜          ♡    closed  for  @melarkes​  !

          ♡     𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍  !          after  her  father  died  &  when  she  was  old  enough  to  go  off  on  her  own,  posy  spent  most  of  her  days  in  the  fields  of  twelve.   she’d  pick  flowers,  make  crowns  out  of  them  &  pretend  she  was  a  princess.   she  felt  awfully  distanced  from  her  brothers,  seeing  as  they  were  all  guys  &  never  wanted  to  play  the  games  that  she  did.   now,  even  into  her  early  /  late  twenties,  posy  still  makes  flower  crowns.   it’s  more  of  an  activity  that  distracts  her  &  calms  her  anxiety  now,  though.
