“O.. oh? I guess I wandered in by mistake… I have a name, by the way, if you’d like to use it. I’m Ashfur.”

“...I think mine is a little less bad than yours, but eh.” He shrugged. It could still be rought.

“GUess so... And ah, sure, little-- I mean, Ashfur. You can call me Akira or Amon, whichever.”

“I never could understand their sounds before I died so I don’t have much clue either…”  he flicks an ear back and gives a small huff. “Sounds shocking… twolegs get into stranger trouble than I thought.”

“Where exactly is ‘here’ by the way…?”

“I was an unlucky twoleg, you could say.” He sighed, shaking his head. “Most don’t run into demons...”

“This is the Expanse, the world of demons, little cat.”

“Human…? Is that what twolegs call themselves..?” He’d never been able to understand them prior to death. They didn’t know catspeak, after all. “I don’t get how two creatures can turn into one…. but I guess I can’t judge. After all, a talking dead cat is just as odd.”

“I figure that’s the case, but I haven’t been around humans in years, so...” He shrugged his shoulder. “It was a shock to me at the time... Though you being dead makes it make more sense that you’re here.”

“Never.” His fur continues to stand on end as he tilts his head up to get a better look at Akira. Revealing a shimmering mark on his neck as he did so.

“You look like a mix between a twoleg and a bear!”

“...Well, I used to be a human and a demon, seperate beings...” He assumed twoleg meant human. “But then we combined, that’s all.”

Fur stands on end along the cat’s back. “Wh.. what in the name of Scarclan are you!?”

“...A demon?” He folded his arm, tilting his head to the side. “You’ve never seen one, little cat?”

An ash gray cat sits perched on a fence, eying you. “Twolegs are so… weird…” A voice.. was it coming from the cat?

Akira tilts his head at the cat. “...Yeah, what kinda twolegs are you talking about? There’s variety to us.”

"Here, let me hold that for you." he holds akira's big demon hand.

Akira blushes a bit. "I can hold that just fine on my own, you know!"

"Bro your tail is so fluffy can I touch it?"

"You may touch it.... once." He held up one clawed finger as he spoke.

Hearing those words stung. He knew Akira probably was trying to help but the idea of being stuck here away from his family and other friends didn’t exactly set well.

“Thanks…. but I… I’d rather that not happen if possible.”

“...No, it’s fine, I get it.” He shrugged. “Maybe we can figure out how to explain it to humans close to you instead should it come to that...” He wasn’t sure that was much better, but he wanted Haseo to feel he had choices no matter the outcome of going back to try and get fixed.

Akira sighs. “Don’t make me shoo you with a broom.”

“If I keep screaming will god finally come fight me?”

“If you scream to try and get god to fight you can you not do it on my lawn?”

“I don’t know either… Maybe I should go back and force that crack pot to fix me?” He wasn’t sure what else he could possibly do.

“Or…. or maybe I’m just stuck like this….” that thought scared him even more but it might be something he has to accept.

“It couldn’t hurt to try, see if it they can do something about it.” He was mumbling his words as he spoke, trying to think of what to do if that didn’t work out.

“And... if they can’t fix you, uh.... Just know there’s room for you around here, if being in the human world wouldn’t work out.”
