Having never read the comics and coming into the series with fresh eyes, I literally gasped at this shot. Utterly beautiful. They perfectly cast this creature in an ethereal light. My favourite frame of the show

I was really struck by how nonsexual, inhuman they made Dream look when he was naked. America culture is notoriously bad at not sexualizing the naked human body, but they threaded an expert needle. Look at this.

It doesn't look human.

You can identify the arms, the hands, the leg, but it's hard to say how his body is twisted to make the picture you see. It looks like someone took a renaissance-style painting--with their attention to anatomical detail and dramatic shading--and crossed it with an abstract one; human parts in an inhuman arrangement, shattered on screen for our wonder and unsettlement.
