Acclimating to a new (massive) tablet upgrade I’ve been saving up for, so delaying a lot of the things I was planning to work on. Warming up and getting a feel for things with side doodles for now.
Aw, eww. Ibuki's flopped on the couch! I bet he smells- Like cigarettes and old cologne and liquor and the warm, comfortable allure of affirmation from an older male authority figure!

It's more of a fursona/self insert? Ha haaa OTL I don't mind at all! I do HAVE Beastars oc's (and a small fan comic I haven't worked on seriously in forever because I am GARBAGE)
The self insert is a Shepard/Snake hybrid of some sort. Mostly because my friends have come to a consensus I'm some sort of dog, and since I'm a work-a-holic I picked a working breed dog. I had to throw some sort of reptile in there because I'm ALWAYS cold. If it's not 70+ I'm usually in some sort of long sleeves/layers (I used to be worse before my thyroid got diagnosed, WHOOPS).
For the sake of this though, let's call her Maeve.
As far as being in Beastars, Maeve would probably be one of the nurses turned illegal doctors of the black market. You patch up ONE GUY because you didn't want a body on your stoop, and suddenly EVERYONE who wants to avoid real doctors is coming to your door at unholy hours. She'd be who is 110% DONE with patients always coming in for the same damn thing at one in the morning.
While Gouhin works in psychiatry and specializes in meat eating and withdrawal, she'd probably take care of everyone else.

Maeve is 110% exhausted and living on caffeine. As a hybrid she probably couldn't work anywhere else though?? Being a working breed, she can't stay still for long so a mentally and physically challenging job is really rewarding. Sitting still for long periods of time isn't really her thing (despite what she says).

Punk rock hyena/wolf hybrid. Personal trainer when she needs money, but hates working. Met Legoshi in the book store when he was yelling about interspecies relationships.
Kou. Wolf/Lynx hybrid. Adopted by a interspecies couple in the black market. Acts as the muscle for her family who makes a living by selling corpses to meat vendors.
Yua. Kou's adoptive mother. Former "Prized Pig"/Model. Abandon her rich family for true love. Now swindles mourning families out of bodies. They get a jar of wood ashes, she sells the bodies off for a big profit. Unable to have kids naturally, so she adopted both of her kids. Protective and ill tempered. Would probably punch Yafya in the face if she could. Technically an 'herbivore' but actually an omnivore. Unlike Gouhin, she DID get the craving for meat. Hiroshi helped her recover from a meat addiction before they got married.
Boar: Hiroshi. Kou's adopted dad. Good guy. Acts as an enforcer if people don't pay for the goods his wife sells. Taught both his kids how to fight. From a poor family with parents who didn't care all that much about him or his siblings, and were just in it for the money the city gave for 'pure blooded' children. Never graduated high school, but very good with math and socializing.

Lucy: Silkie Chicken. Kou's best friend. Extremely fluffy an unintimidating, but loves meats and eggs. Has probably killed someone but no one can prove it. Her favorite food is Dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets.
Ton: Kou's younger brother. Elk. Big guy. Tall, and muscular. Doesn't say much. Doesn't really eat meat, but will if there's nothing else. The kind of guy to open a fridge fifty times to see if something new is in it. Family butcher. Thinks way to much and doesn't say a lot. When he looses his temper it gets ugly, but it rarely happens.
Bonnie: Pomeranian. Predatorial offender, but it wasn't ALL her fault. A big herbivore tried to touch her, and when she panicked she bit him. It happened so much she got kicked out of school pretty young. Due to this she HATES when people comment about what a 'cute little dog she is'. Her family was going to kick her out once she turned 18, but she ran away before that. Lives with Kou and her family.
I had a few comments that the chibi-Hino I made was a bit janky/grandmaish so I gave him another go. I kinda went too far in the direction I had him and now he doesn’t look like the real design at all ;.;
A little stubbier than the usual proportions I’m going for lately. Was practicing some figures and decided to draw him over one of the male poses I liked. I was kinda thinking of the Clan Master semi-chibi art of him while doing it.
