My University journey in Romania - UNARTE Photography summer classes
Everything started when my parents told me that the University of Arts in Bucharest has some summer preparatory classes for the exam entrance. Since I was interested in photography I wanted to give it a try. It was summer and I just finished 11th grade of highschool.
There were several teachers who came and spoke to us during the weeks. We also had to pay a tax for the classes. I do not remember much, because I did this classes 7 years ago. But some major homework which were given were: Architecture, Portrait, Experimental photography(group of people), Static Nature.
ARCHITECTURE -(Geometric forms in architecture) my pics
I was quite shy and I did not want people to see me that I am taking pictures with my Nikon camera D3100 so I was clicking the button and then kinda run away :))
Those classes were there to help us build a portfolio before the exam entrance which was containing three stages: one part where you had a list of books which you had to read before entering in the exam(something like History of Art etc), second part would be a practical part where you are in a studio and take some pictures, and the third which you had to present your portfolio. I do not remember if the order was in this way. If you are interested in applying to UNArte - Universitatea Nationala de Arte Bucuresti to the Photography study you can enter to : https://unarte.org/
We also had evenings where we were watching movies or browsing through popular photographers and discuss their compositions and look for inspiration.
One of the teachers recommended us some websites from which one I vividly remember: https://theredlist.com and some artists.
