Hot Toys reveals their highly detailed sixth scale Millennium Falcon at an exhibit in China.  This monstrosity measures 18 feet in length!  A dream for any collector, though I imagine they won’t be hitting the store shelves anytime soon, as I’ve read it’ll only be used as a display piece for exhibitors :/

Darth Vader #9, the story is getting a bit convoluted. I’m still enjoying it though.

Shattered Empire just came out. It is a small 4 issue series leading up to the movie. in the spirit of avoiding spoilers, I’ll buy the comics and read them after I see the move.

Elite Speeder Bike. I have to admit, I have been a sucker for speeder bikes ever since I’ve known about them. I found this at Target and couldn’t pass it up. The good parts about this, I love the black and red color scheme. The figure is a black version of the new stormtrooper and fits on the bike pretty good.

Everything fits together snugly but for a toy, it would be hard to play with, The nose area attaches to the rest of the bike with small pegs. Whenever I pick it up it tends to fall apart. Not too bad since it’ll live on a shelf, but If I got this as a kid I’d be a bit frustrated when i tried to play with it. The other thing is that is doesn’t stand like it floats like the old speeder bike, the nose touches the ground. Not cool, I’ll probably rig it to float on something.

The most troublesome thing about this is the articulation of the figure. This was the same reason I did not pick up any of the Rebels cartoon figures. It is very difficult to go from super articulated figures that we got for Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars back to 80s and 90s style figures. I’m hoping this changes as the movie gets closer to being released.

I still like this, it’s going to look good with my other speeders. Which I just realized are all black except the one I got in the early 90s with Luke as the driver (the others are the SDCC stealth speeder and the Black Series Target exclusive, damn I’m always at Target).

I picked this up at walmart today,  this was my first The Force Awakens toy purchase. It has a First Order Star Destroyer, First Order Tie Fighter and Po Dameron’s X-Wing. I have been avoiding spoilers like the plague, so I really have no idea what that means. Just a little over 3 months and we’ll know everything. i hope this is good.

Drinking Sam Adams Rebel IPA tonight. It has been my beer of the summer really. It tastes pretty damn good every time I’ve had it.

The main problem is Disney spent a hell of a lot of money to wipe out all the EU stories out only to make this canon, so all the good previous stories about Star Wars are out, this is now what is official.

This is a rant about the main Star Wars comic. I'm not going to say what happened because I don't want to spoil it for anyone waiting to read it and also I find it hard to believe.

Darth Vader is pretty good. This last issue of Princess Leia had the best line of that series at the end... "To be concluded", I do like Kanaan and a series dedicated to Lando is coming out. Let's hope that's better.

The  next movie better be damn good.

One of my favorite scenes in the series is the battle on Hoth. This was a Christmas present from an awesome friend so this is definitely one of my favorite vehicles. Zeb Senesca is in the pilot's seat.

Darth Vader #3 came out. I was once again pleased with the story, but they did lean on the Indiana Jones type character a bit much. I like a little more subtlety then making the new character yell out “This belongs in an armory”. They were trying to prove a point I suppose. They did re-introduce assassin droids, which is a good thing. HK-47 was one of my favorite characters from SWKOTOR and they seem to be a protocol droid and astromech in the same vein as him. Next month, more battle droids. Who knew they were still around?

this is my drink this weekend. I think I got it at the right time, it is a bit too spicy for warm weather and we are just hanging on to the cooler weather by a thread. i say that because it is very spicy, a little much on the spice. It definitely makes me think of a winter drink. It kind of overpowers the whiskey taste, but that’s either good or bad according to your tastes. Personally, I like the colder weather so I am enjoying it.

Darth Vader #2 is out. This has the be the best of the 3 SW comics out right now. Star Wars #3 is still piling on the plot holes and bad writing and I really don't want to get into how bad Princess Leia is. I really hope the series gets a bit better.

The Force Unleashed Evolutions set. I looked this up on ebay recently and was disappointing at the price these were going for. This was easily the best set , second only to the Vader/Incinerator set that was out for the game (which also goes pretty cheap). If you played the game then you really appreciate the figures more. I personally will not take them out of my collection for anything.

Another beer night to kick off my vacation. Little tip folks, take a 5 day vacation that starts on Wednesday and ends on the following Tuesday. This makes for 2 weeks of people not expecting shit from you. I ended up with this new Sierra Nevada Brew. It is definitely hoppy, recommended for the IPA crowd but in Lager form. It was Damn Good.
