Me from five years ago would actually be amazed by how much better I’m doing mentally now

Me from 5 years ago would be fucking astonished. I retrained into a completely different line of work, had a second job that gave me a whole new perspective on human migration and moved from a flat to a house in a different town.

I didn’t even know my current job exists this time 5 years ago.

And 15-year-old me would be😻if it could see me life now. I’m looking back through time and giving that kid a hug.

Life got better. Some things are still tough, but I like my life. Every day I spend doing things I like. I am still in a capitalistic hellscape. Some people are still mean. Some things are still hard to do.

But I want to live and go on.
