the point is genji's gonna come home bruised and beaten and it's gonna be his fault that kohaku and tsukumo and the amamiyas got out of there because he was the one explicilty sent over and over to stop them and he kept failing
the rest of kuryu probably wants his head on a platter but like kurosaki is not gonna let them come after his prized and carefully trained attack dog
there's something very attractive about genji being all bruised with his hair fucked up and on his knees and kurosaki just stepping smoothly in front of him because he's protecting him
he's held to very high respect in kuryu not just because he's the oldest but also roughly half of them listen to what he says at the end so like obviously they hold him in very high esteem but that also probably doubly means that kurosaki runs a tight ship and isn't a big fan of failure which is why genji is. how he is.
you have to have a very disciplined leader to be like genji, to have that single-minded determination. like genji is actually terrifying.
ironically that means that him being not human feels like a more logical standpoint to take than "oh he's just been trained this way"
at any rate the kuryu attitude is largely once you fuck up on a large scale you need to be gotten rid of genji fucked up on a large scale as he was the one we visibly see sent over and over to stop kohaku and co and he fails so badly that they exposed everything
genji has reconciled before ever coming back to the house he's probably going to face severe punishment and i'm sure there are men calling for his head but then kurosaki shuts that down
genji doesn't really understand why he'd shut it down because he did something bad, obviously he should be punished, but kurosaki is just like "no" and just takes him home and tells him to get cleaned up instead
it's been years since genji's been beaten down this bad and he's not exactly thrilled about that either like he doesn't like that he lost

kurosaki strikes me as a man who's probably got his own personal library so to be honest he's like relaxing in there reading and genji comes in stiff-legged and clearly upset to get down on his knees and apologize. again.
genji gets on his knees to apologize to kurosaki and then sucks his dick and then rides him because kurosaki is old and genji is young and spry and he's a fucking mess and his lips are swollen and his face is flushed and he's so pretty when he's bruised and he keeps trying to hide behind his messy hair because he doesn't want kurosaki to see how much he's enjoying it because he's supposed to be stoic as hell and he's failing so hard at keeping his composure
also he tries to be quiet because he's a quiet kinda man but he keeps making these helpless little stuttering noises in the back of his throat and he hates it and it's awful but it feels so good to be forgiven without being punished
kurosaki has never physically laid a hand on him. he doesn't believe in physical punishment when it comes to genji. instead, he talks to him verbally and that's usually enough to put genji back in place because genji beats himself up so much over failure that adding more to the mix isn't always beneficial. better to explain to him how he failed, and how he should improve, and then let him curl up real small either at kurosaki's feet or in his lap
when genji's done something bad he's got a habit of denying himself actual pleasure like he tries to use his body to apologize and therefore he won't touch himself but kurosaki is not a fool and he always catches on and he just slowly carefully unravels genji at the seams and reminds him that he wants him to enjoy the act, not suffer. not tolerate it. he wants genji to fall apart for him.
he's a mess once it's over. kurosaki cleans him up so gently and then genji sits on the floor with his head against kurosaki's knee and kurosaki reads out loud to him because it's soothing.
