CINDERELLA (1950)
Is it true that you're one of the few villains who unironically likes Christmas?
"Yes, it is true; I do appreciate the holiday time. After all, it is a time for grand parties with which to consort with the other aristocrats. I have also been told many times that my presence has 'saved' the holiday."
Why do you hate Cinderella so much?
"Why, because Cinderella took advantage of my benevolent hospitality. I put a roof over her head for years, and yet she repaid that kindness by defying me and taking what was rightfully ours without ever considering sharing her good fortune with her sisters or stepmother. Such selfishness and deceptive trickery plainly shows her lack of refinement and class."
Do you love your daughters?
"Love is an antiquated and childish notion. I did more than simply love them. I provided for them, I ensured that they had every opportunity afforded to them, and I taught them the important qualities they require to survive in this cold cruel world. That is worth far more than such a deluded fantasy as love."
Do you ever tried pursue your daughters to have any friendship with any noble kid before? If you did how it went?
"Most certainly. I always ensured that my daughters' playmates were of the highest breeding possible. It simply wouldn't do for them to consort with commoners. Regrettably, they were not especially well liked by the other children. Jealousy is, after all, a shortcoming that even the nobility is not exempt from. After a point, I decided that it was best that they kept to themselves until they were of marrying age. As a mother, I couldn't have them upsetting themselves due to the cruel remarks of their peers."
What breed is Lucifer? Is he a purebred or a moggy?
"He is a purebred British shorthair. I would never even think of having a mongrel cat living in my house."
Eleanor Tremaine, picks up the rice in a church where a wedding has been. Lives in a dream. AAAAA LOOK AT ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE
".... What ails you, child? I should have you committed to an asylum for your erratic behavior."
Why did you name your cat after the Devil???
"It began as a bit of joke when Lucifer was a kitten. He was such a little Hellion, causing mischief everywhere he went, that my girls and I used to say that he was surely Lucifer incarnate. The name caught on, and now I cannot imagine calling him by any other."
I don't think the woman who ultimately wound up with her nasty lil daughter in the Maid out fits, doing Maids work, Needs to be touting her power so very much. Your Step Daughter and Lil Red head are off living their best lives while you mop. That lil lack of humility is probably why yer in that fix. Just be grateful you don't exist in 21st century America. You'd be doing a lot more than cleaning post lawsuit here.
"Such strong words for one hiding behind the mask of anonymity. Why not reveal yourself and 'prove' just how powerless you think I am? Perhaps you're as much of a coward as Cinderella. A sad state of affairs by my reckoning."
Are Anastasia and Drizella aware that you're running a Tumblr blog?
"Drizella is, of course, well aware of my endeavors, but I am no longer on speaking terms with that spoiled ungrateful brat Anastasia. She made her choice, and I have made mine."
Excuse me to bother you, ma'am but... what of your first husband? How was your marriage with him before he died?
"My first husband was an agreeable man. He was neither as handsome or wealthy as my second husband, but he provided for our girls to the best of his ability. His means, however, could not keep up with Anastasia and Drizella's needs and wants. When he was sent to an early grave, I knew that my next husband would need to be one of higher stature."
Will you ever tell us your first name?
"If you must know, my first name is Eleanor. However, it is not proper for a woman of my station to be referred to as such. It is expected for those of your class to refer to me by my title and family name as a sign of respect, and I do not tolerate disrespect."
*gives you some catnip treats for Lucifer* KITTY!
"Oh no, this will never do! This is completely unacceptable! These treats are for common cats with unrefined diets. No, take them away! I will only accept the very best for my dear darling Lucifer."
How does a mean lady with no power make a name for herself as a Disney Villain alongside witches and gods?
"Power is a curious thing. There are those suited to possess it, and those who are not. Power itself cannot make an inept fool formidable. One must be formidable first and powerful second, or else one might find themselves to be a bumbling fool like Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. I, on the other hand, have always possessed refinement, intelligence, and the ability to command authority equal to any other villain. From there, why, it's simply a matter of finding the right opportunity."
Have you and Grimhilde ever shared notes on how to make princesses scrub the floors?
"I can assure you, I require no advice in that respect. Great minds, however, do tend to think alike, and her majesty, @thepoisonapple, certainly has one of the greatest minds of our time."
You and Maleficent sound very similar... any reason for that?
"It is, of course, an honor to be compared so favorably to @powersofhell. I've long admired the authority in her voice. Though any similarities are merely coincidental."
