on a definite serious note, even tho twiggy 100% hates me right now, i suddenly remembered that palpatine has like zero interaction with leia in terms of a face-to-face like he had with luke.

so im just gonna make it canon that he was terrified of her even if only on a subconscious level because whereas luke spent the first 19 years of his life being a farmboy and then a rebellion badass, leia was pretty much raised from birth to say “fuck u” to the empire and that just shook palpatine to his core. so at any point when imperial officials would be like “sir why haven’t you brought leia to u” he’s just

i should add this to my rules eventually but anybody who has known me in the sw fandom for a while will tell you.

unless we are very close friends, if i see you taking the piss out of jar jar binks as a character i will immediately hardblock you. there is no room for senseless hatred of a character and an actor that deserved so much more than what the fandom gave them in my house. any point you might bring up i can refute just as easily, so save yourself the trouble and just don’t be a fucking dick.

look, i know it’s a big meme to make fun of palpatine, hell, i do it too on a regular basis -- but this is probably the biggest mood i could ever mood if i was a mood that could mood. do not underestimate palpatine. there is a reason he is feared throughout the galaxy, there is a reason order 66 and the fall of the republic went off as swiftly as it did, there is a reason he is a literal dark lord of the sith. this goes to something i talked about earlier on this blog but everything he does is a plan within a plan within a facade within a million different plans all hidden behind the guise of a frail old man who doesn’t know when to quit.
