The events blog for PPC. If you don't follow the main RP, linked above, this will make no sense. This blog is associated with a Master/slave, BDSM RP, and contains adult themes and content. A full disclaimer can be found here.
Blaine will post an in-character announcement via the Council blog sometime before noon on Friday, but here are the details in advance.
Friday: Post pictures of your character's Halloween costume. (Blaine & Kurt are very into Halloween and will send down costumes to any cell slave who expresses an interest; Mistresses Fabray and Thane might be willing to assist as well.)
Saturday: Post your character's outfit for a formal "Gothic" dinner, taking place that night. The style is formal-ish and vaguely Victorian Gothic-inspired. (Again, cell slaves can pretty much assume they're getting help from upstairs one way or another.) Slave costumes can be on the sexy/skimpy side. ALL cell slaves will brought up to used as footrests during the meal. Claimed slaves will be serving the Masters instead. There will be a Victorian dungeon area set up to one side where all are encouraged to provide entertainment, either with a punishment (maintenance or disciplinary), or a more pleasurable scene. These need not be strictly M/s pairings.
If any slave player wishes to write a para covering a scene taking place during the dinner but does not have a partner, message this events blog and we'll pair you up or work something out. There's no rush to get any paras done; we'll just all assume some kinky stuff went down. ;) You are also welcome to simply play things out on the dash.
Tag all costumes and any related paras with "ppchalloween" so we can all see them. That's about all; if there are any questions, send them in to this blog.
It's time for another event guys and this time, we're going for a more laid back event, similar to the bonfire event.
The official tag for this event is ppctoga. Mini events will have their own tag, so be sure to use this tag not ppcevent(number). When posting, please be sure to put a title that makes it clear that you are at the party so that those who want to carry on other conversations may do so.
Quinn and Tess will be trying to guide the party with games to loosen everyone up and encouraging general drunken debauchery so get down and dirty if you feel like it. You know you already do and the party hasn't started yet.
All of this will be done via dash just like the bonfire. No paras or chatzies for this one.
Other Things To Know
Post nsfw gifs if you want, just slap a nsfw on the post (we really encourage this!)
Post your outfits! We want to see what you're wearing to the party. Roman garb is required.
Sex toys will be littered around the suite so if you want to start having sex and use a toy, pretend you picked the spot where the toy is located. This is Quess, they have basically every toy known to mankind and then some.
The party will start at 9pm on August 28th (Eastern time, which is UTC-5 for our non-American friends) so show up and be prepared to have fun! If you have any questions, feel free to ask this blog.
So if anyone needs guidance, here's how the rest of the night looks:
The power will be out all night (or until we collectively decide the novelty has worn off - at least another couple of hours). There will be a post here announcing when it comes back on.
Once Blaine, Hunter and Wes return to the office, Andrew should make some kind of statement to the guards that he's in control now. Then once Andrew's announcement is made, the "Warblers +Andrew" extended family will probably close ranks and focus on making sure Thad gets home safely, Hunter and Andrew are holding up okay, and no one gets greedy and tries to kill Andrew overnight.
Sebastian and Chuck are currently still looking for Emma and Thad. They can return fairly soon, or take all night, depending on what the players involved want to do/ who's around.
Tess and Quinn probably want to be together (with Dixie) right now, and;
Wes should probably get the key to Rachel's isolation chamber tonight. That may happen on the dash if he's around for it, otherwise we can just assume it happened.
As for the following days:
There should be a council meeting sometime within the next week to discuss and formalize various policy changes.
Rentals and official claims will be on hold for a few days while a new system is put in place. (Ultimately, the master of the guard will wind up handling it so none of the council members will have to. Same service, none of the sass!)
Feel free to use the ppcevent0 tag on any paras about the immediate aftermath! Thanks again for a great event. :D
The power and all communications systems across the island, with the exception of the guard's radios, are out. All interactions on the dash must be face to face until further notice. Anything you attempt to post to the communications feed via a battery powered device will not be posted, and the user will receive the following error message:“Unable to Send. Posting failed."
Again, to be clear - you can make posts that will not transmit, including both failed attempts at communication and/or test posts to make sure that the system is down. Just include that error message on a new line at the end.
For everyone who needs it, here's a quick breakdown of tomorrow's events.
Earlier in the afternoon/whenever people are online: Blaine, Kitten, Kenna, Hunter, Nick. Andrew, and Jeff will congregate in a public area of the manor not far from the Caretaker's office; Wes and Chuck will be on their stakeout; Sebastian will have custody of Emma and Thad; Dixie will be with Quinn and Thessaly at the cabin.
4:00 EST The first para will be posted by Sebastian; the slaves go on the run. Dash conversation about the slaves on the run is encouraged. Any paras or self-paras pertaining to the slave's escape and flight should be published between 4:00pm and 5:30pm.
4:30 EST The Chuck/Wes para will be posted; the power goes out within a few minutes. From that point on, there should only be face to face interactions on the dash until the power is restored. If your character has an electronic device or communication panel handy, they may also attempt to post to the feed, but will receive the message, "Unable to Send. Posting failed." (So, to be clear - you can make posts that will not transmit, including both failed attempts at communication and/or test posts to make sure that the system is down. Just include that error message on a new line at the end.) Everyone should, at least in theory, be part of a group/have someone to talk to.
4:45 EST The mega-para confrontation, involving eight characters at the Caretaker's office, will be posted on the Caretaker's page.
From here on out, the timeline is a little less fixed, but the final confrontation at the cliffs may begin taking place as soon as 5:30pm.
The aftermath is comparatively unplanned; we'll play it by ear on the dash. The power will be out all night, or until we collectively decide the novelty has worn off. Wes will likely be able to rescue his girl immediately; Thad and Emma may still need to be found or rescued.
If you have a para or self-para which you need to schedule in advance, and aren't sure when to post it, please message this blog for help.
As of right now, we're thinking the final act of Event Zero will take place during the afternoon and evening of July 9th.
It would be great to have everyone online for it, however, it'll be played out 50% on the dash, 50% self-paras and chatzys which can be written - or at least started - in advance.
Tomorrow (Thursday the 3rd) from 5pm until quite late, one or both admins will be in the admin chatzy. We'd like everyone to stop by if possible.
In-character, the group has yet to really transition from "vaguely formed plan" to "ready to go," but we're confident we can kick that into high gear over the next week. We just need to get a feel for what your availability is and what part you'd actually like your character to play.
Please keep "Campfire" in the title of conversations going on at the campfire. Yes, I know Blaine's been using "campfire," and "bonfire" interchangeably, but for this purpose we're going with campfire.
Any communication that happens at the campfire is private in the sense of being unseen by the Caretaker, guards, and random anons, but everyone at the campfire can hear it. (Even any slaves over in the pen will probably get most of it, but I wouldn't sweat that.)
Yes, you can still send private messages over the island's communications feed during, but try to focus on the main conversation.
Master-players: if you haven't already, please take a moment to clarify to slave-players where they are, what they've been allowed to wear, etc.
By now, the slaves have all been gathered from cells and suites, and are being prepared for the event. They'll all be walked around the obstacle course once as a group, and then starting at ten AM, they'll each run the course in turn. This will take a few hours, as it takes around ten minutes to reset the course in between each slave and there are always various little delays. Masters are able to watch everything and cheer on their favorites from an elevated platform.
The slaves will be running in this order:
Ducks
Dixie
Emma
Mianach
Little Whore
Kitten
Mad Max
And their finishing times will be:
Mad Max 13:07
Mianach 14:55
Kitten 15:11
Emma 16:43
Ducks 18:02
Dixie 24:56
Little Whore 32:41
Any score of less than twenty minutes is a "good" score, so the top five did very well. Dixie's score is barely acceptable - she may have been lashed a couple of times out on the course by whip-happy guards. LW's score is the worst seen in the past two years. The Caretaker will not be pleased...
The exact details of how your character's run went, what tripped them up or went unexpectedly well, are entirely up to you.
Is it possible for all slaves to attend the bonfire or only the claimed slaves?
Claimed slaves AND any slaves currently rented can attend, although depending on how things work out, they may be left where they can't completely hear the conversation. Not that this would be a problem for Emma...
(On an ooc level, we're asking that everyone make sure someone rent Emma and Dixie no later than Wednesday night so they can attend the bonfire in some capacity. Rachel's covered.)
Specifically, by 8pm Eastern. By this time, all bets from Masters in-character should be sent in to the Caretaker, and all requests from slave players out-of-character as to how their characters perform should be sent in to the event blog.
The slaves will be taken from their cells/suites at 8am sharp and thoroughly cleaned both inside and out. The obstacle course will begin at 10am. We will be posting the results on the events blog beforehand so you can react accordingly.
Hey, so I won't be here for the bonfire portion of the event. Another fest from Thursday-Sunday night. should Quinn sit this one out or can she just be assumed to be present for the secret conversation? Or perhaps something else entirely?
Quinn can be assumed to be there, just letting Tess speak for the both of them, if that’s what you’d prefer. However you want to handle it.
For event 13 masters dont have to rent slaves, right?
There's no reason why a master would have to rent a slave, no, unless they want to be nice and let them get a good night's sleep before the event or something. From an ooc perspective, we'd also like to make sure any slaves who want to attend the campfire can.
Would've been cool if I'd posted this on Friday the 13th, huh? Missed opportunities. :/
So there are two parts to this event:
The obstacle course has been covered pretty thoroughly in the other write up, with one exception: if, as a slave-player, you think your character would do either particularly well, or particularly badly, please message the events blog and specify how you'd like them to do no later than 8pm Tuesday evening. Otherwise, your character’s placement will simply be random.
The results will be posted on the events blog on Wednesday morning. At that point, anyone who would like to may then post a self-para. For Masters, this would probably cover your character’s reaction while watching the slaves run the course.  For slaves, obviously you’d want to cover your character’s run. These can be brief -  two paragraphs is perfectly fine - but of course feel free to go longer if you like as well. These can be posted later as well if you can't be around on Wednesday!
The bonfire is a Blaine’s attempt at organizing a meeting of the Masters right under the Caretaker’s nose. (The somewhat juvenile nature of the invitation is his way of making sure the Caretaker himself has exactly zero desire to attend). His thought process is that the fire pit is outdoors and out of the range of any of the Caretaker’s normal recording equipment, yet, as the slaves are not leaving the immediate vicinity of the manor, they won’t be watched as closely by the guards as they would if they were to bring a large group of slaves out on the beach. Plus, since the fire pit is completely out in the open and perched on a steep hill, it can only be approached from the general direction of the path. The end result is that all of the Masters, and any trusted slaves both 1)  have an excuse to be there, and 2) can be a part of a completely private conversation.
Conversation will take place on the dash all of Thursday evening. It should be labeled “Campfire” in the title field; and will be understood to be private from the Caretaker and his minions, so long as no one shouts or creates any kind of disturbance, or does anything unusual (for example, they can’t all be seen shaking hands and winking knowingly at one another. They have to fly casual.) All slaves should be rented and brought at least as far as the pen, so that everyone who can be online for part of Thursday night can participate to some degree. The slave pen will be positioned a little ways down the hill, and slaves left there may overhear tiny bits and pieces of the conversation and pick up on the general thrust of what's going on. At any rate, the slaves stuck in the pen can also talk to each other freely, and none of the masters will be able to hear any of it. Slave-pen-only conversation should be labeled Campfire: Slave Pen.
So as a quick schedule:
8PM Tuesday: By this time, all bets from Masters in-character should be sent in to the Caretaker, and all requests from slave players out-of-character as to how their characters perform should be sent in to the event blog.
8 AM Wednesday: All slaves get taken from cells or suites, cleaned inside and out by pervy guards, and “dressed” for the obstacle course.
10 AM Wednesday: The slaves begin running the obstacle course. OOC, the results are posted all at once on the events blog.
All Day Wednesday: We write and post reaction paras. (You can still post one later if you can’t be around on Wednesday!)
7 PM Thursday - ???:Â Campfire conversation on the dash.
All times are EST. If you have questions, send them here!
