Freedom of Hate Speech!
The United States Congress shall make NO LAWS regarding the FREEDOM OF SPEECH! It is pretty obvious why when all we think about is Sovetskij Rossija, Zhongguo, and Joseon.  But there is a far more important reason and that applies to the States. The First and Tenth Amendments, however, give the RIGHT of CURTAILING SPEECH. This becomes blantantly obvious when it comes to SLANDER, LIBEL, and DEFAMATION! Â
But now we get to HATE SPEECH. Making hate speech illegal may sound like an excellent idea. It stops people feelings from getting hurt. But there is far more hurt from sweeping ugly sentiments under the rug and preventing its outlet. That is silence, resentment, conspiracy against the government, subversion, treason, and the ability to hurt in the dark. It will cause it too gain as much traction as open government support. Â
But what can you do with hate speech? How does allowing it’s openness help destroy it? But I ask you, how do you fix something in hiding? How do you curtail something that you cannot see. When a racist, sexist, homomisiac, transmisiac, bigot, etc. opens their mouth, you know where they are. You know who they are. And you make change your habits to avoid them. If we shun people or if they are your friends and family, correct them in their thoughts - in the loving concern or desire to correct loved ones can provide.
This sentiment goes for rallies and meetings and community involvement. We should not go to these meetings and SHOUT THEM DOWN. Let them speak! Let them spout their evil! Let yourself hear the cheers of the crowd for it. Record it! Then disseminate that information with prejudice! (Don’t pull a partisan or media and only record only parts that prove your points. Editing your work will discredit you and get you accused of misquotation.) Record it all! And then Report it! Use your FREEDOM OF PRESS to expose them. Â
DO NOT SHOUT THEM DOWN! SHOUT THEM FROM THE ROOF TOPS!
