Could u pls show a tutorial with how to do the gyaru eye droop? As a poc its very difficult for me for some reason maybe its my eyeliner :((

Ofcc girlie twirliee! And don’t be upset that being a POC is the reason because I doubt it is! (Unless you’re talking about the color of the eyeliner not being visible due to skin tone, just get a darker eyeliner)

The way I do it is by staring off with a pencil liner and starting from the middle of my eye to the end on where i drew my liner. (I also kinda map out with line how i want to do my eyeliner with a pencil liner before going in with a liquid one) . A lil tipp is to not completely use liquid for your droop as it can make it too bold and probably stand out from the rest of your makeup. I like the use the liquid liner to clean up the droop after using the pencil liner to make it neater.

I wouldnt completely go off my way of doing it, as im still learning about makeup myself and not in the position to give out tuts since im still a baby gal but i did come across this realllyyy good tutorial for droops! Another thing I suggests is to know what style of makeup youre doing because your droops can also depend on that. Some are simple and small while others can be dramatic n big. Personally, I favor more simple or shiro style of makeup so I like to take inspo from hime and banba gyaru styles!

I also like to reference from magazine scans or my magazine. Theres an ageha one that I own that has lotss of different eye styles! I had got mine second hand but there might be a scan online of it too.

So i’m trying to be more gyaru, (already know more or less my style, mix of onee gal, and hime gal) but idk where i can get clothes or any tips for make up (i live in a really hot country and my local thrifts have little to no clothes, and any online shop imports kinda cost extra…) any tips?? Gyaru EDU lesson #2: Getting started in the gal world!!🌏🎀

★Intro:

Okay so before i even start to start gal isn’t hard but it WILL be if your heart isn’t in it you HAVE to be willing to stand out, need to be able to take criticism, and definitely HAVEE to be willing to do research(using RELIABLE sources) I’ve been a gal for going on 4 years now so I’m giving EVERYTHING I know(which is concerningly a lot😭)

★Make(makeup):

For gyaru makeup PRACTICE. MAKES. PERFECT. also yes I have to say it if you are a beginner and choose to do a droop please trust me. DONT PUT WHITE IN THE DROOP I made the same mistake beginning and i STILL cringe at it but that’s why practicing and experimenting is crucial.

Here are some examples!(colored contacts are not required but it does help with how your make looks don’t worry I don’t use them there are a lot who don’t)

★Co*de(outfit):

A lot of people over complicate this part no you don’t need a specific style also you can wear close to ANYTHING and as long as you have on makeup and styled hair it’ll still read as gal

Now finding clothes is something that’ll take searching because availability is different for everyone the best advice I can give is find some outfits that you like and go to stores and search for pieces that kinda resemble the clothes in the pictures(once you get experience you can branch out more)

Please don’t think you need to be a crazy party girl to be gal look as a person with AUDHD yes there are things that are just too much for you and that’s fine sometimes I get so depressed I can’t even get up to do my make and that is okay! The slogan is “get wild & be sexy” but as long as you are authentically yourself no matter what you are just as gal as anyone else!♡

FIVEEVEERRR.

Anywys i went axe throwing, popped an eye vessel and cant do my gal make for like a week or two (cus i wear colored contacts and it make up my whole makeup look. Plus i hate gyaru makeup with my lenses) . So im using that time to refresh my gal knowledge and probably try parapara! Always rmbr that gal is mind too, not only an aesthetic. So if youre ina place where you can’t do makeup at the moment use that time to do other gal activities.

It’s so weird when someone does gal make wrong and people in the comments will give tips or comment on it and non gals will reply “well gyaru is about rebelling and going against the beauty standard blah blah”

….yea rebelling against the JAPANESE beauty standard and traditionalism! People seriously hate when subcultures have rules and guidelines.

It’s the same with makeup in general. “Makeup has no rules” yeah but you’re not gonna put primer on top of your foundation are you?
