I’ve only been a Fander for a bit, but I already wrote some fanfic.Whoops! Anyway, it’s just a bit of fluff. Enjoy!
Patton giggled as another handful of flour was hurled at him. What had started as baking cookies with Virgil had quickly turned into a full-blown flour throwing fest.
Patton convinced Virgil to bake cookies with him, despite the latter insisting that he was not good at baking. Logan had been lounging on a chair in the dining room, reading a new book and Roman had been writing some new ideas for videos. They had just been enjoying some quality time together.
Virgil accidentally spilled some flour on Patton whilst he was measuring. He quickly started apologizing because he wasn’t quite sure where he fit in anymore, not after the Accepting Anxiety video. Patton laughed it off, “It’s fine, Virgil. Just a bit of flour. Nothing to worry about.” Despite the reassurances, Virgil was still a little uneasy after that. Patton saw that his anxious friend was uncomfortable, so he thought maybe he’d even it out, and make him see it wasn’t a big deal.
“Hey, Virge.” Patton smiled at him.
“Yeah?” Virgil looked over to see Patton grinning like an idiot.
“What do bakers give their significant others on Valentine’s Day?” he leaned in, still grinning crazily.
“What?” he asked hesitantly.
“FLOURS” Patton yelled and threw the flour he had been holding in his hand up in the air. As flour rained above him, Virgil groaned. From across the room, Roman snickered and Logan looked amused.
“Why doesn’t bread like warm weather?” Patton continued.
Virgil’s eyes got wide and he put his hands up. “No.”
“Cause things can get…TOASTY!” Patton threw up some finger guns. “Ayyyy?”
Virgil groaned again. He looked about and, smirking, threw some flour at Patton.
However, it landed in his open mouth. Patton stopped smiling as he realized what had just happened. He sputtered and tried to spit out all the flour, but it had congealed to his tongue and the roof of his mouth. “Virge!” He cried out. “I trusted you!”
Roman, now completely distracted from his writing, snuck around Patton and smeared flour into his hair.
“I BREAD your pardon, Roman!” Patton exclaimed. “Such behavior is unsightly for a prince!”
Virgil snickered at Patton’s flour-white hair. “How… breadful,” he laughed.
Patton gasped and turned to look at Virgil. “Virge? Did you… just make a bread pun?” he squealed.
Virgil shrank into himself a bit. “Yeah?”
Patton jumped up and down. “Yes! I’m so proud of you!”
Roman looked slightly confused, for the attention was no longer on him, but he supposed it couldn’t hurt for Virgil to share the spotlight… for a little bit, at least. He smirked.
While the others were talking, Logan put is book down and watched the three having fun. He felt a twinge of jealousy that he wasn’t included in their jollity. He then had an idea.
“Hey Ro!” Logan called out, with the bucket of flour in his hands. “I believe, if my calculations are correct, which they always are, that this bucket has about 4 and ½ cups of flour in it. What would happen if it were all to be dumped on someone, say a prince, perhaps?”
Romans eyes widened as he realized what Logic was saying. “You wouldn’t!” But roman want sure.
Roman pulled Patton in front of him, like a shield, “You’ll have to get through him first!” he cried out triumphantly.
“Now, now kiddos. Lets calmed down a bit. “Patton chuckled nervously, not wanting to get flour dumped on him.
“Hiding behind a civilian. Not very princely of you, Roman!” Logan half stated, half taunted.
“I have to agree with Lo.” Virgil smirked. “Besides, if flour got on Patton’s glasses, how would he see?”
Logan just smiled. Romans triumphant grin disappeared as Logan started forward, the bucket of flour in hand. Patton ducked out of Roman’s arms as a flurry of flour was dumped on Roman.
“Well, Princey, what have you got to say to that?” Logan stood victorious over the fallen prince.
As Roman stood, covered in flour, all three sides burst out laughing. Roman tried to be pouty, but Patton, and Logan, and Virgil laughing a the same time was just too infectious for him to stay upset for long. He caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror and had to admit, he looked pretty funny. He started laughing with the others, and pretty soon, they were all throwing flour at each other, and giggling uncontrollably as they were each splattered with flour.
