A NOTE:
Using REFERENCE for art is not shameful, and many of the great artists have used references with their artwork... models, photography, etc. Many artists take time with making thumbnails, drafts, sketches, before the final piece.
Be encouraged to use references! They help you learn, and help you achieve the artwork that you want to.
Last time I posted art practice was Jan 6th... and its 7/19/2025 now.
I've been struggling with visits to the psychward, relationship struggles, and trying to get my mental health on track... I guess for someone like me, it is important for me to try and do my best with sticking to a routine that keeps me healthy...
Like excercising once a day, brushing my teeth everyday, showering more often, etc... I have a care team now, so I have a therapist, a skill coach, and my dad and another person all working together to help me get better.
Currently, I do not have any followers. That's fine with me, its kind of like a public journal for me anyway to track my progress. I guess if anyone is to read this though, some of us might need to focus on taking care of our physical and mental health before hobbies... and I know it hurts alot, and it can feel like your behind because of it. But by focusing on these things, doing the hobbies you like (like drawing) will improve with it.
I want to try and start practicing again. Even if it is just a small thing everyday. A message to myself in the future, I love you. I know you are afraid of regrets, or that you aren't doing enough, but I am proud of you for excercising. I am proud of you for biking. I am proud of you for brushing your teeth and showering. I am proud of you when you do draw a little bit, even if it is just a doodle. I am proud of you for simply waking up in the morning, and still being alive, and having the desire to get better. Things will get better, and i'm proud of you and I love you.
Missed about 5 days due to... dealing with situation of someone stealing my artwork throwing me off. Going to try to get back to it though... and try and be kind to myself even if I missed some days.
It's hard sometimes.
