Hi, as a twitch streamer I was hoping to do some fundraiser streams for the entertainment fund. Do you have any instructions or suggestions on how to go about that?

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with Twitch, but the WGA has definitely been directing donations towards the Entertainment Community Fund (ECF) so that's absolutely a great place to donate to! Given that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA already have healthy strike funds, the ECF supports other film and TV workers affected by the strikes who may not have access to strike funds.

It'd also potentially be helpful to review the WGA's demands and SAG-AFTRA demands in case anyone has questions about what exactly they're striking for. (Also, the fact that no boycott has been called by the unions at this time, which seems to still be a point of confusion among fans!)

Thanks for your solidarity! Anyone in the comments have more experience with Twitch fundraising? We'd love to hear suggestions!

For the love of SHIT, quit fucking posting about which herbs can give you an abortion.

They can kill you, and they are not safe just because they’re ‘natural.’

Don’t listen to the dumbasses who promote it as spirituality or witchcraft or holistic medicine.

There is no reliable way to use/dose these plants that 100% guarantees the person won’t get severely sick or die.

There is no safe way to use these plants, period. Do not try a homebrew abortion. DO NOT.

People have died from trying to use these plants for abortions. This is a fact.

Please stay safe everyone, I've been noticing at least from my point of view that Christians are feeling a lot safer to make blatantly anti-semitic comments since Roe v. Wade got overturned. The overturn of this is an infringement of our religious freedom. In talking about how I don't believe a fetus is even alive due to my religious beliefs, I have been having several people with anti-abortion views call me a baby killer (which has blood libel vibes to it), seen them use jew a derogatory word, and say we are trying to subvert the nation with our ideas. The more a nation becomes a "Christian nation" the more dangerous it becomes for anyone not, so please stay safe.

Y'all. My roommate has Disney+ that I sometimes watch stuff on.

They had a pride section.

A pitiful pride section.

That included Gravity Falls.

The show that Alex Hirsch had to fight tooth and nail for representation for and was denied.

Is now in the pride section for Disney to say "we're not biggots" one month a year.

I'm literally so tired of this.

And yet so proud of the shows that did get the representation they fought so hard for.

The Owl House created by Dana Terrace has the most representation I've ever seen in a kids cartoon by Disney and it got cut short in the third season.

Disney is the epitome of commercialized pride, steeped in corporate greed and so desperate for ratings they'll do whatever they think people want to seem wholesome when really it's just evil.
