the lights here never go out, mallory’s, like the bankshead motel —— are always open for the wayward and the lost. pepper roswell both loved and loathed the concept of this for a singular reason: unpredictability. everette was bad enough on it’s own, but the strangers and potential serial killers? she didn’t get paid enough, so she takes her break in the back. there maybe no light that goes out in the front, but in the back there’s a flickering bulb that a moth is trying to get deep inside. her eyes glance to a stranger stepping out of their car, they look confused but that was part of the package. ❛ you okay? ❜ // @trcmell: sc.
