So my homeless family still hasn’t been able to replace the vehicle we lost due to an accident, right now we are in a motel but in a few days we'll be out on the street with a dead vehicle and from there? Well likely we'll lose it and everything in it we can't carry.
So we gotta avoid that! We need more funds to buy something livable and reliable and funds to stay out of the cold while we deal with this.
HOMELESS FAMILY HAS SO MANY PROBLEMS IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN (BILLS, CAMPSITE FEES, VAN BREAKDOWN, CAMPSITES CLOSING AT THE END OF THE MONTH)
Okay so lemme preface with a little good news, we have a campsite for today (AUG 17th) & tomorrow. Now uh everything else!
We still haven't been able to pay our bills, we need money for a campsite so we aren't stuck in a cramped van and then a new development, our van has had some sort of critical malfunction, right now we can still drive it but there is something very wrong with the tires & a warning bell goes off the whole time we are driving. So we now have to repair this van or replace it before the problem causes a accident, only reason we aren't totally fucked is that we have a campsite so don't have to drive.
We have not gotten a quote yet on the costs of repairing the van, so I'm just gonna list the bill & campsite fees.
Also I want to bring up that at the end of this month campsites close where we are. So we will need money for a motel or a much better vehicle.

Homeless Family Has No Where To Go & Still Has Bills
Okay so I wish I had a better update but I don't, my homeless family is still trying to raise funds for bills but also now tomorrow (the 13th) we will have to leave the campground we are staying because it is fully booked and currently we have no money to go to a different campground for the week, last time we were stuck in the car just for a day the heat was causing medical issues & it was retraumatizing.
So to breakdown what the funds are for:
We have bills for the bank around 600$, if we cannot cover this we may lose the bank or go in overdraft & get NSF charges
We have storage for our few belongings & the bill is around 200$
Somewhere to go tomorrow & stay for the week, right now I do not have a exact number but am aimming for 250$ as that covers a week at our current campground so I expect it should be able to cover it elsewhere
We do have living expenses but we have one small cost, phone chargers, it's been hard to charge due our current ones being old & they're expensive in the area we are staying, & while we've had bills we couldn't direct money towards this, to get cords the right length & a set of two (one for our mom & one for me & my twin to share, mom gets her own since she does the banking & a lot of the most important online stuff) is about 30$
If we can cover all of this, we can start planning for next week, and what happens at the end of the month when most campsites close & the issue our van being close to breaking down really limits our options, we want to fix it & find somewhere.
Homeless Family Getting Internet Cut Tomorrow If We Cannot Pay Bill Today (& We Have Other Bills & Debt)
So my homeless family admittedly has a lot of things going on, with the end of summer coming we'll have to figure new living arrangements but before we can deal with that or our independent income we have a urgent emergency.
We have a phone bill we have to pay or we will be cut off tomorrow, the internet is one of our only sources of income & communication, if it is cut off we will have to leave our campsite & find places with free wi-fi as we have other bills for storage & bank fees to pay, so we cannot afford to not be hustling.
However we only need 220CAD for the phone bill, then we can focus on our other issues and have a chance to raise funds for bills, and saving for whatever the living situation transition will be at the end of summer.

Homeless Family Has Breakdown In Coldsnap & Already Had Little Food
My homeless family has been dealing with A LOT of car trouble, are trusted truck broke down in October, we got a new van which like a week later showed that it didn't have a functioning engine nor heating, we replaced that van with a new one earlier this mouth ONLY FOR THE NEWEST VAN TO ALSO BREAK DOWN, we struggled to get it repaired only for now it to start breaking down AGAIN. We have tapped basically all of our friends out due to the last breakdowns, we were already scrapping up food money and right now we might need to pay for something like a motel so we don't have to beg to sleep in a gas station.
Please literally anything would help right now, and if you can't donate please share it.

BTW if you see other blogs repost this, that would be me, my main here has been shadowbanned so I am going to post on multiple accounts.
So awhile ago my family was scammed into buying a broken van when the truck we've been living in for nearly two years broke down. This van had been left sitting for a long time & has a broken heating system, rad & other issues which we've been mitigating & trying to take care of since roughly Halloween.
But it finally seems to be on it's last legs, the heating has broken & that means we 1. Obviously don't have heat which will be an issue as next week is a coldsnap & 2. We cannot drive much or the van will overheat & we will be stuck somewhere & likely have the van towed, losing most of our things.
This also happened when we were already in crisis, we barely have money for food, gas & bills are coming up, we already had a lot of money to raise.
Our plan(s) is a mix of the following options
Get a motel room, this is our most immediate plan to make sure we don't freeze at night
Fix the van
Replace the van
All of my family is trying to rise funds, my personal aim is to get us 2400CAD which would cover a monthly rate at a motel & deal with at least one of our bills & have a tiny bit for food.

Homeless Family NEEDS To Get Off The Streets As Canada Becomes More Anti-Homeless
As some of you may be aware, Canada is planning on expanding euthanasia to include "lacking social resources" (or something along those lines, I couldn’t find the exact quote), aka they're more willing to help the homeless commit suicide than give them housing. Me and my family are homeless in Canada, winter is here, we are stuck in a unreliable vehicle and while we have some money it isn't enough to get off the streets or to get a suitable vehicle while also keeping ourselves fed & gassed up for heat and mobility.
So I am humbly asking for assistance, I don't know how much in total will get us in a better situation, but ultimately every bit will help us.

Homeless Family Needs Money For Bills, Repair & To Avoid Medical Emergency
So if you've been keeping up with my posts you would be aware that after a series of things like being scammed by a subleter, my homeless family's truck is breaking down, well we have been able to get strong identification for the issue, but we have no money for the parts needed and right now the truck is using more gas than usual so our movement, power and heating is limited right now.
To make matters worse we have a large phone bill (our only access to getting help & money right now), our mother who is the only driver & the one whose been repairing the truck has an internal injury and has to rest, and we do not have much money for even necessarties like food right now.

Rising Moving Expenses To Get A Homeless Family Finally Off The Streets Before Winter
So now that we have dealt with our end of month bills I have exciting news WE HAVE BEEN OFFERED A PLACE TO RENT & HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT! We now just need to rise some of the funds for things like our first & second month rent, along with money for while we are settling in & looking for work opportunities, which will be a lot easier with access to things like a shower & electricity for PCs (me & my twin do commissions) and a sewing machine (my mom is a professional seamstress)
This has came at the best time as our truck was starting to fail after nearly 2 years of being on the streets, and with Canadian winter coming we were in some danger of freezing.

Now for anyone curious about our story, nearly two years ago my family fleed our apartment due to gun violence, we were scared for our lives and since then we have been living in our truck.
We've had a few near bullseyes for fixing this, but past plans have fallen though due to a mix of issues, usually people over estimating what they could offer in terms of help.
It has been hard on us all, we've lost a lot of our few belongings along the way, and all of my family have disabilities of different kinds, my mom has really been pushing herself and I want her to have less to worry about.
Now as for now, we know this woman with a basement suite she had been subleting, and recently it became vacant, we know her, what to expect and we can trust her.
And at the same time this happened, a member of the extended family was able to cover the deposit.
In short the stars alined, and we have a chance to get settled, to try to sort out both our few physical belongings but also like our emotional & mental stuff, we were messy before all this and let me tell you, two years living in a tight truck being harassed basically everyday & having to beg for basic needs like food, it can make things a lot messier, but I do think we can heal, recover, we won't be the same but I hope we'll be very happy as the people we can grow into being.
