tenacious--quaintrelle:
Lips pursed, not yet glancing back up towards him as she marked onto the paper with her graphite: the tip on its side to make the marking smoother. Don’t let the expression fool you, even though she didn’t show it– Asha was rather ecstatic to know that she would finally be able to draw him as she desired. ( That being said, his version of stating his discomfort was to be expected; Gilbert never seemed to have been one that liked being in the quiet.. it might have given him a better gateway to his thoughts. ) The pencil was lifted off from the paper momentarily, grey irises now turning their attention towards him,
“Not sure.. but shouldn’t be too long. I already have some of the shading laid out as is,” A brow raised as she spoke up, this time: the essence of a smile could be found, “Maybe next time you might want to choose a pose that doesn’t feel like a broomstick is shoved up your ass,” Too blunt? Anyways, back to sketching, seeing as she got a good look at the shadows,
“Something tells me you’ve never been drawn before, so I want to ask: is this the first time someone wanted to? Or is this the first time you accepted the request?”
Over the while he's known the girl, he finds himself no longer having a stimulated response to her crudity. It's to be expected, and it could rouse a smile to his face on a good day. He makes no move to slacken his tense form, knowing well it'd stiffen once again in due time. Gilbert resigns himself to a huff of the breath, letting the golds of his eyes trace the path her hand is taking. Lithe extremities traipse about the paper and the doubts he had lift with his eyes. She knows what she's doing.
He broods upon the question with delicate analyzation. His answer, however obvious, has him reflecting on this choice. Gilbert's obviously found himself more at ease wih her then most ( all ) of the people who had made the request, people who would more then likely have him sit in a way much like this ( this was how she wanted him to sit, right? ) and have made no comment or would not even engage in light banter. This was the much preferred choice.
❛ You would be the first person I've accepted. ❜ No reason to lie, she would probably bore her eyes right through it regardless. He cants his head and situates himself taller as to emphasize his height rather then the developing aches along the smalls of his back.

The man’s rigid, all tense muscles and taut posture. He sits on a stool much too small for his stature, his eyes focused on a flickering incandescent light shining its much-too yellow glare across the room. Such a stillness doesn’t suit him and for the second time opens his mouth to make an unnecessary interjection. ❛ How much longer should this take? ❜
i get so caught up in protecting the people i love that i forget to protect myself.
HEADCANON #1
following him losing his left arm that once bound him to his chain, he's become adept at fulfilling tasks that would normally take two hands to complete. he's capable of doing most things he once did on a routinely basis.
starter call!!
A man on his lonesome idles underneath a tree, the mid-morning wind brushes his cheek with care and he tokes from his cigarette. The aroma of an early spring rouses dormant memories, however the scent of acerbic smoke keeps him grounded. A faint blitheness allows for light contemplation and so he rests his eyes.
brabbiits:
“Nothin’–it’s just been awhile since I’ve had a chance to talk with you, y’know?”
❛ Oh, have I been gone that long? ❜
even if im weak and breaking down i will still protect you
❛ Intention? ❜ Words coil around the tongue as he grapples with the situation. The inner turmoil he suffers isn't communicated through, and he reaches for his holster despite himself.
