Basch found himself remaining still, unsure of what to say or do next. Though he would keep his stance either way of worse comes to worse.
“And you? Who are you?” The words escaped his mouth, sounding harsher than he had necessarily intended but he decided to go with it.
“Tch-” Breaking his long stare, Yevon drew his hand back sharply, and brushed it off, as though it may be tainted by some dirt imparted by this supposed imposter.
“My mistake- but the Hound never mentioned a twin.” He tugged on the collar of his waistcoat to ensure it looked tidy. Bowing merely at the shoulder, he answered, “Yu Yevon.”
Basch found himself a little confused by the words used so harshly, he knew of his brother’s reputation but he didn’t know it was this far spread out. But he wouldn’t let it allow himself to grow maddened by the simple words.
“I doubt he ever would.” He responded, placing his hands by his side as his gaze was stuck on the floor. He raised his head at the name, having never heard of such a name before. “Yu Yevon.. It’s a.. pleasure to meet you.”
" 'Yevon' alone will do nicely- 'Lord Yevon,' if you've the decency." He looked over the scruffy gentleman's attire, thoroughly unimpressed. And the tangle of hair, the unshaven chin- Yevon could curse himself for being so easily fooled by the face, when by all other counts this "Basch" was very unlike his trim and clean brother; so much less appealing.
Yevon did not miss the comment about Gabranth, nor how Basch's gaze shifted down as he mentioned it.
Is a sibling rivalry at hand, perhaps?
"The pleasure is mine, of course- yet I am sorry to hear that you quarrel with your brother. I assume such is the case?"
