The Presence of Yes Campaign is an initiative to address the current issue of sexual assault on college campuses. We aim to stop the under reporting and overlooking of sexual assault cases. The absence of no is not consent, it's the presence of yes.
Cervical cancer is usually caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and is sexually transmitted. Although the occurrence of HPV in other parts of our body (i.e. feet, nose) is normal, acquisition of the cancer-causing genital HPVs can be dangerous or worse, lethal, to us.
                Out of the 100 types of HPVs, only 15 of them are high-risk, cancer-causing types (like HPV 16 & 18, which are also the most common) which accounts for 70% of cervical cancer cases. Fortunately for us, a vaccine that can protect us from acquiring these HPVs have been created and made available for public consumption.
                 So what happens when the cervix is infected with HPV? Its cells increase in number, and eventually in size, which develop into lesions. I not prevented or cured at an early stage, these lesions can be cancerous and can cause serious harm to you, if infected. This can be identified as cervical cancer.

           FACT: Congratulations should be in order since you surpassed the rocky road! But although you may have had the disease already, this does not mean that youâre immune. Sadly, cervical cancer isnât like chicken pox or mumps that do not come again after youâve had them already.Â
In this case, you still have to be extra careful with your sexual relations to ensure that you wonât acquire (again) any HPVs.
           FACT: Having a proper diet and exercise wonât exclude you from being in the risk of acquiring HPVs. Of course itâs nice that youâve been living a healthy lifestyle but just to be sure, donât forget to have check-ups with your OB.
As weâve mentioned before, cervical cancer is a silent disease so pre-cancers can be easily overlooked. Living a healthy lifestyle, practicing safe sex, and having regular consultations with your doctors is a good way of protecting yourself from cervical cancer.Â

The encounters they recalled followed a similar narrative: First, they said, Mr. Weinstein lured them to a private place to discuss films, scripts or even Oscar campaigns. Then, the women contend, he variously tried to initiate massages, touched them inappropriately, took off his clothes or offered them explicit work-for-sex deals.
