This glue can definitely act as a cheap alternative to mod podge. These are frame parts i made. The ones that shine i usedb stick-ee, the matte ones are results of elmer's glue. With elmer's glue the cardboard curved while with stick-eee it was still flat and the coat was a little glossy. Try it. Use it straight up. Don't mix with water or whatever.

I've learned that acrylic paint will not work on tape,or any shiny surface. But it works on cardboard, paper and kraft tape.
