My sister

My wonderful father is 70 years old today. Here are some of the photographs he took while we were growing up in South Africa in the mid-80s. There’s much I could say about the political situation, but that’s maybe for another time. 

I’ve always loved these photos - there’s a tenderness in the eye behind the camera that is more easily expressed on film than it sometimes is in real life. And I may be biased, but I think they are simply beautiful images. 

As a footnote, he doesn’t know I’ve done this.
