Transgender: This term has many definitions. It is frequently used as an umbrella term to refer to all people who do not identify with their assigned gender at birth or the binary gender system. This includes transsexuals, cross-dressers, genderqueer, drag kings, drag queens, two-spirit people, and others. Some transgender people feel they exist not within one of the two standard gender categories, but rather somewhere between, beyond, or outside of those two genders. Trans: A person whose gender identity is different from their biological sex, who may undergo medical treatments to change their biological sex, often times to align it with their gender identity, or they may live their lives as another sex. Aromantic Asexual (or Aro-Ace) doesn't experience either romantic attraction or sexual attraction to the other people around them. Romantic attraction refers to the wish to do “romantic things” with another person, and the feeling involved when you have a crush on someone. Bisexual: A person who is attracted to both people of their own gender and genders different from their own. Also called “bi”. PLEASE STOP THE BIPHOBIA IN THE COMMUNITY! BISEXUALITY IS NOT BINARY!!! Biphobia: Aversion toward bisexuality and bisexual people as a social group or as individuals. People of any sexual orientation can experience such feelings of aversion. Biphobia is a source of discrimination against bisexuals, and may be based on negative bisexual stereotypes or irrational fear. She isn’t the most confident of individuals but what she lacks in self esteem she makes up for with her kindness. She believes everyone deserves to be heard and that they deserve a second chance. Most of the time that includes being a push- over. She really is sweet, though.
Name: Amelia Bates Age: 18 Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Lesbian Amelia is a very sassy girl, though sometimes she can come off as an asshole. She is known as ‘Legs’ and always tends to wear purple contacts so much that people don’t know what her real eye-color is. Amelia has a very dry and dark sense of humor, but her girl- friend Valerie seems to love her humor. In a relationship with Valerie.
Name: Valerie Black Age: 18 Pronouns: She/ Her Sexuality: Pansexual Valerie is fully focused on her future of dance and takes her role as Prima Ballerina in the school. She feels a lot of pressure from her parents to be perfect and it’s manifested itself in Valerie pushing herself over her limit. She is great at dancing, but not the best with social interactions or people. The only one she is close to is her girlfriend Amelia. In a relationship with Amelia.
Name: Sonny Nelson Age: 17 Pronouns: They/Them Sexuality: Queer They tend to wear colorful bracelets (though not currently pictured) at different times for self control as a way to control their self-abuse. They don’t really know how to feel about themselves as a gender, they have dysphoria, but at the same time like having their lady bits. They prefer to just stay androgynous as they work on their self image.
Name: Miranda Starr Age: 17 Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Bisexual Miranda is known online under her alias Starcaster. She runs an online photography blog, loves music and always seems to be in the art hall of the school. She plays bass and loves cooking.
Name: Meredith Walker Age: 17 Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Pansexual Meredith is a quite girl who once was not so disconnected from the world. She loves using music and drawing as her escape. Meredith loves all animals and is empathic with those around her. She would probably sell her soul for a snickers bar. Meredith is very questi- oning of her sexuality, thinking she might actually be gay. Meredith is the youngest child of a school teacher and pastor. She suffers from several disorders including: manic depression and anxiety. A warm welcome to reintroducing Meredith as the main character in Pressure Points.
Name: April Riley Age: 17 Pronouns: She/ Her Sexuality: Bi-sexual April herself is kind to those around her but she prefers music and art to people. She is probably one of the most talented artists at the school and some rumors even float around that she does tattoos under the table for extra cash, though no one knows if it’s true, shes quite quiet and shrouded in mystery. No one really knows much about April except for the beautiful pieces of art that she makes. Sometimes morbid, but beautiful nontheless.
Name: Lydia Wolfe Age: 18 Pronouns: She/Her Sexuality: Lesbian Lydia is sarcastic and snarky with a dark sense of humor. She is a completely loveable asshole. She is a fierce protector of her friends and loves horror movies and gore. Lydia has a love for theater and a knack for math. She has a weakness for kittens and loves nerds candy. She smokes like a chimney and loves Korean Soap Operas. She loves to cook but doesn’t eat her own food. Lydia was in the hospital for an assortment of disorders including Anorexia Nervosa.

Hello, My name is Steam and I am currently working on a little comic called Pressure Points.
Pressure points follows young Meredith's struggle though moving to a new state with her parents (and her older sister) and having many struggles with her mental health along the way as well as trying to survive her senior year of high school and come to terms with her sexuality.
Pressure Points is a project that has been near and dear to my heart for about four years now, and though it has not completely come to light yet, I hope that my little project with help teens out there who struggled as I have.
I hope you will join me to help people know they are not alone. YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.

I am in need of so, so many background characters and I was hoping you could help me out.
What are you looking for? Oh wow, I'm so glad you asked.
This story begins in a behavioral institute in a small (fictional) town in Oregon. As the story progresses the scene of course changes from the hospital setting to a school setting. This particular school has a focus in their fine arts programs.
What I'm looking for is not just teenages or students (though seriously give me your angsty teens) but also doctors, nurses, cafeteria staff, teachers, really whatever your heart desires.
I love focusing on diversity in characters so I welcome if not emplore you to design characters who maybe come from different backgrounds, maybe aren't cisgendered, can be anywhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, ect.
If you are a digital artist, I would love to see your work done on my template. (Though it is not necessary).
If you are not a digital artist, that's okay also, I would love to see a written out character description though.
I would prefer bases not be used and only original art, but if you use bases please credit the base-maker.
