*Her pointed ears perked up as she heard the word sculptures*

“You just reminded me it’s almost my dad’s birthday; we should do sculptures so I can give him a present!”

*She smiled a little seeming to be a bit cheered up. Still seeming a bit down but it will pass in a few hours as long as she’s distracted*

“Maybe Rascal will pop in too if he notices I’m gone from my dimension”

Damien: "I mean sure... You like Scrap sculptures, me and dad used to make them ALL the time... But he's more busy now so it's just me... I can show you!"

"Hey guys guess what! It's mental health awareness month! Yippee! My mental health is great, I've never been better! Soooooo how is everyone doing? Ol' Sunny is happy to listen!" -Sunshine

The Brood: (Mess of babbles, giggles, baby screams and one swear.)

Olivia and Sebastian: "BRUTUS!!!"

Olivia: Where did he even learn that???

RU Sebastian: "Your guess is as good as mine... Maybe Sam... Can he even understand Sam?..."

Damien: "I'm doing pretty good, found some cool scrap pieces and turned them into a knight... So yeah, not too bad!"

RU Sebastian: "But I must ask about my two twins, how are you both doing, fine I hope, yes?"

“Well it may be out of sight but it will always be on my mind unfortunately”

*She grumbled sounding a bit deflated, grumpy even which was a very strange 180 much to her usual hyper bubbly self*

“Thanks though”

*She shrugged*

Damien:

"I see... Well nothing wrong with trying... C'mon... We can do something so you don't have to think about it. You like games? You like making metal sculptures? Talking over tea? Whatever you wanna do... As long as it doesn't result in breaking anything in here."

*Star was yapping to Damian since her portal was gonna be around for awhile and she wanted to explore this dimensions black site until…. She saw a Sprint needle on the floor and gave him an uncomfortable look*

“Uhm…. Do you mind moving that somewhere else? I just…Don’t like those things”

*She said stepping back slightly away from it. 8 feet away from it by now*

First of all, I hope you're all having a nice day. Secondly, my question is for Painter, aka Bartholomew(I hope I got that right...) Anyways, who do you enjoy hanging out with in the Blacksite? Also, do you ever hang out with Sebastian's kids?

Maddie: Um, anyway, uh, sorry...I don't really have much but I did grow this apple by myself, and now I'm giving it to you to keep evil doctors away from you. I'm not sure how it will do that but I've heard it works.

Sunny: You'll just have to see what I got you! It's a surprise!

Maddie: I'm 90% sure it's not something that blows up so I think we're good. Happy birthday, again!

RU Sebastian: Of course, Little one! Our Christmas was wonderful! As for our New Year's Resolutions (you were close)

I had everyone tell me theirs, I'll just rely them to you, father-style!! Here are mine:

My New Year's Resolutions are to teach my children more and more as the days pass and to keep The Hadal Blacksite in peace (which I have been succeeding at so far) and to make my children (you and Sunny included) happy.

Damien s New Year's Resolution is to learn more about leadership (because he wishes to take my place when I retire from being the leader of the Blacksite.) so he can be a suitable *heir* (chuckles)

April's New Year's Resolutions are to... And I quote: "Be a good big sister to The Babies."

Olivia had one as well... She wishes to (Chuckles) help Damien find a suitable partner- as he's in his 20s and has been wondering about having a significant other of his own (A girlfriend in less formal terms)... Look at my wife playing Matchmaker.

The Brood are too young to understand New Years Resolutions yet... But when they get older, they will develop some of their own, and I can't wait for that day to come where my children have their own goals and dreams.

As for you and your brother, I do hope you both have had a wonderful Christmas, and I hope Sunny's stomach isn't hurting as I know he devoured quite a lot of cookies (he eats like he has no stomach... Ahh I did the same when I was his age.) and I hope you both enjoy your gifts! And remember- You can visit anytime you need, we'll be here, always.

MOD: Hello @crusadingaro I've had a great Christmas, seeing my family was awesome! (Though the whimsical feeling isn't the same as it used to be because I'm getting older and more cynical 😭😭😭) I do hope you're Christmas was good as well and I hope the new year does indeed bring you bigger and better things as well! Thanks for sticking with me through this year, you and your OCs (seriously, I haven't had an art friend for this long- as I lost most of mine after high school since they had their own lives to pursue... so this has been a blast!!!)

Maddie: "Merry Christmas. We bring lots of gifts for everyone. We want to say thank you for everything you guys have done for us."

April: "Yay! (To the Brood) It's Santa guys! Prepare the cookies!"

The Brood: (Collective squeals of delight, followed by gathering of cookies and other sweets.)

[Sun Tail can be heard running to the shop until he jumps out from the darkness and on to his back. Maddie arrives shortly after as covered as she can be]

Sunny: December birthday gang!!

Maddie: Happy birthday to the brood!

Sunny: Can we play with them? Maddie and I made a playground out of scrap metal a few weeks ago, can we take em there? Pleaaaaase?

Maddie: We tested it, it's safe...enough.

Sunny: And if anyone tries to mess with us, I'll bite em with my teeth! >:3

Maddie: What else would you bite with??

Sunny, picking up Allen: RAAAAAAAA

RU Seb: "Oh, I don't see why not..."

The brood: (Collective Excited toddler noises)

Damien: "I'll supervise.... Someone has to keep an eye on Brutus."

Brutus: "HEY!"

April: "I wanna come too, so I can also soopervise!

RU Seb: "Okay, okay, you can all go- Just- Damien, Sunny, Maddie- Make sure your little siblings don't hurt themselves. Be back in time for dinner, I've prepared something special for Sunny, and I have a - Our Birthday Boy, and I have a gift for you."

(Sunny's eyes light up.)

RU Sebastian: "And I have a gift for you as well, but you'll receive it after dinner. Alright, run along now... Enjoy yourselves."

(Watches as the children leave through the vent.)

RU Sebastian: "Oh, and Sunny... Happy Birthday."

(Question for anyone)

How do you deal with grief, even if it's been a long time? What do you do if it still hurts...?

RU Sebastian:

Ahhh... Grief is... Something I'm accustomed to feeling, Dear Madison.

When I was framed, when I had to send Damien away after he was born... When I thought Olivia died all those years ago... Grief has been a guest of mine for a long time.

You will feel it... For a long while... But here's how you get past it. You don't let it drag you down, you be strong, and you show that grief that you're still fighting.

I've had moments where grief had nearly overtaken me, but I kept pushing.

Strength is the biggest adversary of misery and grief, because grief is like a weight dragging you down... Strength is... like that person or several people pulling you back up.

Grief doesn't go away easily, no... You're going to feel it, yes... However- Showing that you won't let it drag you down usually makes the feeling less... Heavy. Or for me it does anyway...

But if you can't do it alone, that's fine too... Find a friend, find a family, find those who will help carry the burden. Like me, I've already promised you a while back that I'll help carry your burden (and Sunny's too) no matter what. That's my job as a father, after all.

What are y'all's birthdays? Asking for future reference.

RU Sebastian: Ahh, Well-

My Birthday is April 14th. (Authors note, same day as Gianni Matragrano's birthday- Just a little easter egg.)

Damien's Birthday is March 22nd.

Aprils birthday is April 17th.

Olivia's Birthday is September 27th.

The Brood were eggs and they all hatched on the same day at different times... But as a collective, their birthdays are December 18th.

This is a night for our children to have fun, eat candy, and just exist peacefully together.... So let's leave it at that. Also happy early birthday, Any plans?"
