GENERAL ETIQUETTE. Understand that the mun is not the muse and vice versa, don’t godmod, no meta play, don’t steal my content ( headcanons, descriptions, edits/art, etc. - this includes taking inspiration of any kind from my blog without my permission ), don’t nag on me for replies, don’t force ships on me, understand that fiction does not necessarily always reflect reality, and don’t bring any kind of drama onto my dash.

FOLLOWING. This blog is highly selective. That means I'm mutuals only, and I will only follow blogs that I see myself interacting with that also follows me back. It's very unlikely that I will follow muses from fandoms I'm unfamiliar with. I ask that personals refrain from interacting with my blog unless you wish to send me or my muse anons ( this feature is a privilege, don’t misuse it ). I will be incredibly picky with OCs, and I tend to take a distance from those that claim to be related to my muse in any way, self-inserts, and those that are basically copies of an already existing canon character within my muse's universe. For the sake of my own comfort since I'm 30+, I won't be following any muns that are under the age of 21.

WRITING. English isn’t my first language, so grammatical mistakes are bound to happen now and then. Open starters, starter calls, prompts, etc. are limited to mutuals only. I highly encourage the continuation of answered prompts! If you wish to continue from an ask, please tag me in a new post. I write various types of formats such as one-liners, novella, crack, and shorter paras. I let my muse take the wheel, so sometimes I will only respond to asks and threads that my muse allows me to respond to, and there's little I can do about it.

I have an incredibly difficult time figuring out plots on the spot, so if you wish to plot with me I would appreciate if you would have something in mind before approaching me. All I ask is that you have at least a small idea of a concept of something you want to do without being too vague ( i.e "I want to write something dark" ), propose it to me, and we can take it from there.

I reserve the right to not respond to any asks, starters, threads - or publish starters from my own starter calls if inspiration doesn’t come to me.

UNFOLLOWING/BLOCKING. I will unfollow blogs for various reasons. Most of which are related to blogs going inactive without any notice, blogs that haven’t shown any interest/initiated interactions, and blogs that engage in drama of any kind far too much.

As for blocking, I don't use the block button lightly as I prefer to blacklist the urls of blogs I don't wish to see. However, there may still come times when I have the need to use it. When this happens, the reasons may include ( but are not limited to ): you're a personal blog interacting with mine in any way, you're continuously using 'passive' methods to 'remind me' about our thread such as liking and re-liking it over and over, over excessive vague-posting, and blogs that continues to re-follow me to get my attention ( especially if I've already soft-blocked you more than twice ). If something else comes up, I may still use the block button however I see fit.

SHIPPING. My main rule of thumb when it comes to shipping is that I require chemistry between our muses, both canons and OCs. Not only that, but I also don't randomly jump into casual ships with just about anybody either. While chemistry between muses is very important, the chemistry between myself and the other mun is even more so. I'm the most comfortable when I ship with friends, and new people I've come to click with via muse interactions.

I usually put my entire heart and soul into my ships and expect them to last for the long-term. What I mean by this is basically that I don't ship for the sake of shipping, and I don't really enjoy writing ships with people that have the habit of dropping ships as soon as something new and shiny comes around. I understand that muse, motivation and inspiration will come and go, and sometimes you just simply know when a certain ship has finally sailed, but all I ask for really is dedication and communication.

As a last note on shipping: If you feel like our muses have chemistry and would like to explore a potential ship, then by all means feel free to ask me! But keep in mind that I still reserve the right to decline your offer on ( specifically romantic ) shipping if I for one reason or another don't see our muses going down that road.

TRIGGERS. This blog is 21+ and NOT minor friendly; dark themes will be present on occasion, so if you are under the age of 20 and/or are uncomfortable with dark content, do not view and/or interact with this blog AT ALL. I trigger tag the most common stuff ( tagged as ‘tw // tag’ ), and if there is anything else I need to tag feel free to reach out to me respectfully and I will tag it for you.

Personally, I don’t have anything that triggers me except any images that may trigger my trypophobia ( an aversion to the sight of ANY irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps ) ━ PLEASE tag this, I’m begging you.

NSFW. The muse and the mun are both of legal age, and I’m comfortable with writing plot-related erotica with anyone that is over the age of 21 as long as it’s ( romantically ) ship-related. However, ALL smut-related threads must take place in a private chat ( I prefer discord for this since I hate the tumblr dms ). I’m not comfortable with spreading that stuff out on the dash for everybody to see.

Here he comes! Bringing mess into his wretched little hovel of a castle - oh and she wasn't meaning the muck on his shoes. No. He speaks of curses. She's had enough of all this curse nonsense! Enough! With the grunt of an old woman, Sophie turns to rest the broom back in the little closet and places both hands upon her hips. Earthy brown gaze sweeps over Howl's frame, assuming for a moment this so called curse might be visible to the eye.

Were it not for her own situation, she might have called him out on playing with their feelings. Instead, she looks uncertainly to Calcifer who had sunk down between his logs in alarm. The fire demon gives her a barely noticeable shrug of sorts and mumbles a soft I dunno. Bah! Serves her right for thinking a demon might be of any help. Twisted! Dramatic! The both of them! Oh...would she have thought this way in a younger state? Surely aging so suddenly hasn't made her so entirely helpless to the crosswinds of this strange new environment...

“What makes you think you're cursed? Did you see it happen?” She starts at the calling of her name. Already she felt an immense pressure under those watercolor green hues; why, he was looking at her as though she held all the answers! He was the Wizard, he ought to know! “….w-what is?”

Technically, he was allowed to drag in whatever dirt he pleased into his own home - regardless of any protest. Or at least that's what he would think had his mind not otherwise been occupied by an urgent matter in this moment.

With his hand still resting on the door knob, he took a step to the side to invite Sophie to exit through the door. “ Did I see it happen? ” A sudden but very short laugh left him in a scoff as he motioned for the old lady to have a look outside. “ You'll tell me. ”

Right outside one of the doors connected to the castle's front door, which lead to a cobblestone road in the middle of a busy city. But instead of busy pedestrians making their ways back and forth sat at least a dozen cats neatly in small groups around the entrance. All of them looking at Howl as though he owed them something.

“ They've been following me for the past half an hour, regardless of what disguise or what path I take to evade them, ” Howl exclaimed in disbelief, hands now comfortably resting on his hips as he took a step back to allow Sophie a better view of the situation. Even though he didn't necessarily think that she was the only one who could sole this problem, she was the only one around of whom he could... well, for lack of a better word - vent at. “ They won't stop staring at me, as if they're expecting me to either give them something! ”

Normally, he would have taken his time to figure this one out on his own - and he most likely would have solved this in practically no-time without any help. However... despite the fact that he thinks he can do whatever he wants in his own home, he does genuinely want Sophie and Michael to feel like it's their home, too. And thus, Howl knew that if he had returned home with a flock of felines behind him before he figured out what to do, Sophie would have been less than thrilled seeing all of them one by one stroll through that door. This way, at least it would seem as though Howl was completely clueless, and would give Sophie a chance to at the very least get used to the idea of a dozen cats suddenly living in the castle... until Howl would get rid of them, that is.

Don't get him wrong - this was incredibly annoying, and he intended to fix it as soon as he possible could.

i will be working on verse summaries tonight. i'm thinking that his default verse will be set somewhere between pre-canon and mid-canon. anything else set in a post-canon verse where his curse is broken will have him automatically be with sophie. i'm figuring that if his default is set to prior to the curse being broken, it'll be easier for him to interact with and form bonds and dynamics with other muses from other fandoms ( 'cause lord knows i love crossover interactions so much sdkfjhd ) or maybe even other potential ships for au's. it's also prior to the curse being broken that i find his personality to be the most interesting and complex, and i would love to work him through character development via interactions!

If he wasn't in utter distress already, he'd stop and ask what's got Sophie's got her feathers all ruffled up. He clearly wasn't even looking at the broom aimed at him, thus didn't connect the dots that she was actively cleaning the floors. He was far too riled up with frustration within to even acknowledge it. Then again... even if he wasn't, and he'd have to ask her why she's snapping at him... even in a normal state he wouldn't have noticed the cleaning of the floors.

Regardless, as he stood in door frame of the front door, hand resting on the knob in an iron-tight grip, Howl's steady gaze rested on Sophie as though she was the only one right now that could help him.

“ Something terrible has happened, ” Taking a deep breath, he let it out momentarily after as if to collect himself, eyes shutting close for a brief moment. “ ... I think I've been cursed. And I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it stop. ” It was only now that panic began to slowly rise within him as the volume of his voice lowered to almost a whisper. “ … Sophie! .... This is a first…! ”
