“Thanks for the pep talk, but I don’t feel the same way. This is it for me.”

She smiled as she watched him sit down. “I’ll be back.” She headed off upstairs to grab everything they needed. When Fay reappeared, she was carrying the box that contained the mattress and the pump, as well as a sweater and a pair of basketball shorts. “Here. These should fit. Sorry that they’re not designer,” she pretended to have a posh accent, before grinning and tossing them to him. “Go change. I’ll start setting this up. Could you grab some pillows from the closet on your way back?” She asked as she knelt down and opened the box. She figured that he knew his way around her house by now, and she didn’t have any problems with asking him for help. “I can’t wait until you see it. Inigo Montoya is such an amazing character. I love this movie,” she said, as if he couldn’t already tell. She was excited to share this with him, since it was something that she really loved.
He laughed at her posh accent. “Not designer? Oh, whatever will I do?” He teased, using the same tone as she had. “Not even Nike, oh c’mon now,” he proceeded to joke around with a boyish smile. Tony went to bathroom down the hall to change clothes. It was minutes later when he returned with pillows in hand. Tony had gotten them each two pillows so they could prop their heads up to see the tv better. He laid them at the head of the bed before laying down as well and getting comfortable. It was now that he realized the lights were still on but he did not want to get up again. “Can you get the lights? I forgot.”
Midnight Visit//Tony and Fay
She smiled at him. “I don’t want to leave. It’s so beautiful here. How about we go get lunch to go, and then come back here. I want to watch the sunset. Ooh, and tonight we can lounge around the hotel pool.” Fay sighed softly as she thought of it, smiling widely.
“I agree. The view is amazing. Lunch sounds great right about now. Let’s go.” And with that, they walked around looking for something that sounded tasty. “Anything particular you had in mind? There’s pizza on every block and the same goes for burgers. But anything more interesting than that may be a long walk.”

Bruce had become pretty accustomed to eating alone at lunch. No one really wanted to hang out with the nerdy kid who spent all of his time reading books on Biochemistry, though it never bothered him. He had been in the middle of eating a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich when he saw someone sit their things down on the table. Bruce heard someone mention his name and looked up, nodding his head. “Yeah, that’s me. Tony, is that correct?”
Tony nodded, “That would be me.” Everyone knew who Tony was, whether it was for his father’s name and appearance around the city, or because of his school record. He wasn’t known to be a very well-behaved guy, the polar opposite actually. “So, what’s it with you and Biochemistry? That’s all you’re ever reading about. Is there nothing more interesting going on in your life?”

It was lunch time and Tony didn’t have anywhere to sit. Maybe if he were nicer to people, he wouldn’t face this problem every day. He found an almost vacant table, but there was one person, all alone; it was Bruce Banner. Without asking, he joined him at the table. “Bruce, right?”

Fay grinned at him and shrugged. “Maybe we could have our own party sometime. We could just invite everyone that we like to my house and just party the night away. It would be really awesome.” She grinned and followed him out of the truck and into the house. “Yeah, I have that one. Oh, The Princess Bride is a masterpiece. We have to watch it. It’s great.” Fay smiled at him as she moved into the living room. “Should we sleep down here? We could probably pull out the blowup mattress and a bunch of blankets and pillows, if you’d like.”
Tony shrugged. He had acquaintances, but she was the only person he actually enjoyed talking to. Parties aren’t something he’s usually associated with, but he’d be willing to make an exception if she hosted one. “Yeah, we can do that.” Once they were in the living room, Tony took a seat on the couch. He needed to get out of these awful jail clothes, but he just wanted to sit down for a moment; It’s been an exhausting day, altogether. “Alright. Let’s watch that one first since I’ve already seen the other ones.”
“Of course I would’ve. I can’t let my best friend get drunk in some random house, with a bunch of random people.” She wrinkled her nose and pulled up to her home. “No problem. I really don’t mind letting you stay.” She shrugged. “Yeah, there are a few in there. The Breakfast Club, The Princess Bride, The Lost Boys…all of the good ones. You can pick out which one we watch first. Do you want anything to eat? We can raid the fridge to find something.” She grinned as she shut off the truck.
“Exactly! I shouldn’t even have gone, honestly. I don’t even like more than half of the people that were there.” He went for the free drinks but that obviously came back to bite him in the ass. “If I stayed over all the time I’d probably drive you insane.” He knew he could be a huge pain in the ass at times, so he knew he drove people insane, especially his parents. “I like the Lost Boys and The Breakfast Club but, I have yet to see The Princess Bride. Do you also have Stand By Me?” It was one of his favorites. Kiefer Suther is his favorite 80s actor. He’s seen most of his movies multiple times. Tony climbed out of the truck and followed her inside.

“Why? I’m terrible with parties. I honestly suck at them.” She smiled at him and shrugged, before pulling out of the parking lot and turning towards her place. “Look, if Howard finds out and you need a place to crash, let me know. I don’t mind letting you stay with me.” Fay kept her eyes on the road as she spoke, humming and drumming her fingers on the steering wheel. “Cool. I probably have a bunch of them for us to watch. You know me, I like having cheesy movies to watch, especially when I’m having a rough day. To be honest, yours seems like it’s been tougher than anything I’ve been through.” She stuck her tongue out at him and grinned.
“Well, because if you were there I wouldn’t have been drugged. And if I were, you wouldn’t have let me drink it. I just know you would’ve stopped me.” She was the only person that could do that; the only person he listened to, and even then it was only sometimes. “He’ll be alright, but thanks for the offer.” Alright? That was a lie, but his mother wouldn’t let Howard put him out for the night, so he knew he’d be okay whenever he did go home. “As long as there are some oldies in the there, I’ll be satisfied. You know the late 70s and 80s movies are my favorite. Yeah, it’s safe to say that today wasn’t my best day,” he laughed.
>halfblooddemon:
“Shut up.” She rolled her eyes as she followed him out. “You probably left your phone in your car.” Fay was digging through her pockets for her keys as she walked, and she nodded. “Okay. Pizza it is.” When she found them, she moved to unlock her door, and then reached through to unlock his. She was worried about who might have drugged him, but that was a topic for later. “Want to watch some cheesy movies while we eat? I’m sure we could find some oldies but goodies,” she suggested, as she started her truck. “Aside from this whole incident, how was the party?”
“Yeah, I hope so.” And he hoped the keys were behind on of the tires. He normally put them there when he went to parties, which wasn’t very often. Tony waited for her to unlock his door. Once she did, he piled in and reclined the seat back to get more comfortable. “Yeah, cheesy movies are what I need right now.” He just wanted to hang out for the rest of the night and be in a calm environment. “It was okay. Parties aren’t really my thing... too many people. Next time, I’m taking you with me.”
