He couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty about all of this. There was no way he could just let him leave. Just a few years ago, that could have been him, had he not been so fortunate.
“Hey, I… I know you don’t know me and I don’t know you but… If you want, you can spend the night at my place. I feel terrible just letting you leave like this. It just… feels wrong.”
“Are you sure? Like you said you don’t even know me.” Yuu was feeling a little conflicted about this being a good idea. He didn’t have anywhere else to go, but it also wasn’t like he enjoyed taking advantage of people either.
“Thank you very much for the offer... I’ll try my best to make it up to you.” He wondered if he’d be so kind to let him use his shower and other utilities or if that would be pushing it a little too far.

He was positive that he was being pranked. A robot? He really wasn’t in the mood to deal with this sort of thing. He just wanted to go home and sleep before he had to go to his second job. But…
“Do you… have a place to stay? I don’t really want to kick you out if you’re going to be stuck in the cold.” He was just going to ignore the robot part. That was the best way to go about this.
“Well, not at the moment no. Business has been a little slow.” It was almost embarrassing to admit that he didn’t have anywhere to go. “It’ll be alright though.” After all robots couldn’t feel pain... Maybe if he said that enough he would start believing it.
“It’s your job to kick me out though so it’s understandable. No need to concern yourself... then I guess I should be on my way.” Yuu said before he began to make his way towards the door.

“…..” The last few hours that the library was open were quiet. A peaceful kind of quiet, one that Aoi loved. It gave him time to step away from the desk to put away all the books before they locked the doors. Then he could leave on time, as long as didn’t encounter any problems.
He pushed the cart with the last of the books down the last aisle and squinted, seeing a person sleeping among the books. His first thought was that the person was homeless and it made him feel a little uneasy. “Excuse me?” he muttered, kneeling next to the boy. “I’m sorry but you can’t sleep here. We’re about to close.”
His eyes fluttered opened equally confuse and startled. He really had only meant to fall asleep for a few minutes, but it looked like he was out a little longer than that. “Oh... I’m sorry...” He stood up and smiled apologetically. “I just meant to rest my eyes so I hope you aren’t too troubled...” Yuu was more than a little disorientated as he swayed slightly on his feet.
Despite having resorted to taking naps in a library, he was still very clean. It was hard at times to keep that up but he found it important. After all finding clients would be hard if he smelled bad. “Oh.. Um.. I’m Yuu Kobayashi..” Shuffling throw his back pack he pulled out a flier describing him as a robot and all the things he could do. “If you need help with anything... or if you know anyone that does!” He smiled brightly.

“I mean, that’s really up to you isn’t it? I can always leave... But I would prefer to stay.” Yuu could feel himself being judged, but that wasn’t new. “I can do most general tasks like cooking and cleaning... But really I’m programmed to just about anything short of like... Murder.” He laughed softly.

“Yes! That’s correct. I am a service bot! Is there anything I can help you with I’m very versatile.” Yuu was like the worst kind of door to door salesman. Chipper, over the top and showing up even when he wasn’t wanted.

“It’s not rude when you got knocked over.” He retorts dryly just because it lies in his personality. The contrast between the two is bigger than the Great Wall of China and he feels as if he’s at fault for distancing the two. But it’s just who he is.
“Adrian.” Comes the reply when he realizes the male had also asked for his name. Gee, talk about paying attention. It was a slow day for him; there was too little caffeine to go on and he needed to fill it up.
The blond hands the pile of flyers to the other, taking one himself and shortly looks through it. His only problem is his roommates.. What would they think if he just brought home a random person??
“Sure.” Fuck, there he went. “You can probably do something, help with cooking, things like that.”
Despite everything, Yuu still kept a smile. Even with the other’s harsh personality, he had an act to keep up. It wasn’t like he was offended at all anyway; he did deal with all kinds of people. Really, if this kind of attitude could get under his skin then he would be better just settling down in a normal job.
“It’s really nice to meet you Adrian..” Sweet, sickly sweet. That was one way to describe him. From the dulcet sound of his voice to each gesture he was gentle and nonthreatening. The crisp autumn air added to this effect as it nipped at his nose and cheeks to leave a beautiful scarlet. “I mean it; it really is a pleasure.”
Yuu took the fliers back with a grin. He was happy that Adrian was at least looking over one of them. He could hope to get a little work. That would be the most ideal outcome. “Oh, yes! I can absolutely do things like that!” He chimed happily.
Work! Finally he was going to have some work! He wouldn’t have enough to stay in the room tomorrow, but at least he could start saving it at least. “I’m sure I’ll be able to help out in someway! Thank you very much!”

Books, books, books. Honestly, books really weren’t Yuu’s hobby of choice. Sure, he loved them when he was little, but... No, no. There was no “when he was little.” He’s already committed to denying he has ever looked any different than he does now. He was never little. He was never a child. Yuu is an android with one function: to serve. Though, he unfortunately still had needs of the flesh.
He could burn. Freeze. Starve.
Being far from invincible there was still a place he could rely on for at least a little while. The Library. The halls of knowledge. On either side of him were books upon books. This place was quiet and he wouldn’t be able to find many customers, but at least it was warm. His clothes were obviously damp from the cool fall rain that had rolled in outside, but taking them off wasn’t much of an option either. The jumbled thoughts flowed in his mind as in his distraction he crashed, and toppled over a small cart full of books. It was almost comedic how he flipped over them.
“I’m so sorry I’ll put these back up right away!” Yuu called out, assuming whichever employee was there had to have heard the crash. While he was clearly flustered he desperately tried to keep his movements as stiff as he possibly could.

Curse him and his trait with that of a worry wart. There’s things in this world he’s just not able to turn a blind eye to, even when others were perfectly fine in doing so.
Even when he’s not to blame for someone else’s actions, he feels a stab when the male is shoved aside yet remains as enthusiastic as before. Guilt, maybe a little pity was crushing his very existence of just watching. Honestly.. How rude some people were nowadays..
“Are you okay there?” Adrian bends down, gestures the other by the name Yuu to hold off the flyer in his hand as he assists in picking up the rest scattered all around. His smile is brighter than rays of sun, and the blond almost feels the need to shade his eyes.
“Service robot??“ He asks in pure curiosity while gathering the flyers. “You do chores and stuff like that?”
His wrist went a little limp with the paper in hand for just a moment as he thought the other male was rejecting the ad. To Yuu’s surprise he was helping him collect. “Yes! I doing just wonderfully! Thank you for the help, but it’s alright I can pick them up on my own...” It wasn’t as if he minded the help, but it wasn’t in his best option to have a potential client helping him. For that matter, it probably wasn’t the best option to greet a potential client while on his knees.
“Yes, service robot!” His voice was still filled with excitement as he stood up with fliers in hand. “Mostly yes. Really, I’m quite adaptable though. I can do just about anything someone might need me to do. I offer my services really cheap too!” Yuu’s ever permanent smile remained plastered in place. “Unfortunately, I don’t exactly have an owner so I just do this to keep myself from corroding away.”
What a high tech item he was indeed. Every part of him seems incredibly life like, but his movements were a bit stiff...
“Do you need anything done Mister.... I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name even though you were helping me. Please excuse my rudeness.”

Four days. Four days without any kind of work. He was definitely going to kicked out of his hotel tomorrow. Even putting in actual applications for work were going nowhere fast. Despite all his skills, he was still a vagabond without any formal work history. What was he going to do with himself? Maybe it was time to hurry away from this cold town...
Ah..., it was time to hunt for clients again.
Yuu waved to anyone who passed of even gave him a glance. Handwritten, yet exquisitely neat, fliers were offered to everyone. Normally they were refused or politely accepted. Sometimes, however, his enthusiasm was as more than a little annoying. The papers abruptly fell from Yuu’s hands as he was shoved to the side. He sighed, just a moment of disappoint. Quickly, he regained himself to a bright smile as he bent over and began to collect.
“Thank you anyway!” He called to the one who shoved him and turned his head up to the next person who came by. “Hello! I’m Yuu Kobayashi! I’m a service robot. Please take one of these fliers and give me a call if you ever need absolutely anything done!” Still on his knees he reached up with a slightly stepped on flier.

Good work for cheap!” A call escaped from his mouth a he handed out fliers left and right to anyone who would take them. “Cheap labor. Mere cents for an hour! Good work at a robot’s pay!”
